Quality Inn & Suites Schoharie near Howe Caverns

I understand this hotel had some management issues in the past but Harsh, the new manager is great! I stayed for two weeks and could not be happier. They were very accommodating, even the housekeeping staff is friendly and accommodating. Clean rooms, in good repair, convenient location. My refrigerator control knob was missing and I had a brand new refrigerator delivered within hours. I am headed back there with two rooms reserved for family and I know everyone will be satisfied. My only negative is that the exterior lighting in the parking lot is insufficient.

Although after we booked we found negative reviews - we found the opposite . There are things that are dated and there are slight repairs that need to be made - everyone was more than helpful , the rooms were clean . We had room 131 and it very spacious - a nice view . We came on motorcycles and Hersh ( I hope I spelled it correctly ! ) told us about an overhang and safe place to park . Breakfast wasn’t huge but it was good with fresh food .. We were happy with the hidden gems we found in this town - we will be back and we will stay here again

Looked nice on the outside, but the room really needed updating. Rusty drain in the shower, only one set of towels for two people, frig was cool (not cold) and breakfast was far below what is expected at Choice Privilege hotels.

Room was dingy stained carpet broken tile in bathroom no artwork just ugly brown. Our family of four stayed we had two towels, front desk wouldn’t answer had to leave room to get additional towels . Complimentary breakfast was bad coffee and stale cereal juice machine out of order. Checking out (running away) front desk clerk appeared to be sleeping in the back barely even spoke to us. This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had . I am not even covering half of the issues we encountered.

Pros: The room was clean, the room was large, the breakfast area was clean, the bathroom was clean, it's location was near the funeral we were attending, the staff was friendly, Dunkin Donuts was close by. Cons: the bathroom door had no latch, the shower fixture looked moldy (but we showered without problems), the bathroom definitely needs remodeling, two of the drawer pulls on the dresser were missing, the breakfast was bare minimum. This property needs updating.
