Definitely not a long term place to stay but was good enough for the night just passing through. Customer service was good and the rooms were okay. Definitely have stayed at worse. We were a little weary after reading some other reviews but as long as youâre not expecting a 5 star hotel, youâll be fine !

This has been my most unpleasant experience to date. The weather was bad and so I decided to stay at a hotel instead of commute the hour home. I was traveling with a pet. I called this location to see if there were rooms available and make a reservation. I was told I had choices. I picked a king size bed, and was upsold to a room with a "view". I pointed out it was already dark, and that everything was covered in snow because of the storm. It was pushed. I needed to hurry up so I agreed instead of having to go through 3 more rounds of "you really should" conversation. So $9 extra for a room with a view. I drive to hotel. When I check in he, the clerk, owner, manager, jerk, informed me I couldn't have a room with a king bed because I had my pet. I explained that it wasn't shared with me when I made the reservation, but okay, maybe the local needs to share this with reservation so other people don't make the same mistake. The location had not been plowed of snow in some times. In a snowy climate, it's easy to tell when there has been regular snow maintenance and when it's hasn't. This parking lot had not been plowed in some times. We had had a warm spell recently and a plow would have removed the layers of compacted snow and ice. I slipped and fell on the uneven icey layers of snow that are the parking lot. Smacked my knee pretty hard. The walkways from the parking lot to the exterior hallways have not been shoveled since the storm started 4 hours previous, or salted to prevent ice formation. Then I slipped and tripped on the exterior tile, which is knowingly slippery when wet, and it was a broken slippery tile. Smacked my knee into a wall that time. The room... Well, the door for the room didn't close all the way. It's bent in at the lower corner where it meets the door jam. It lets in light, air, snow. At this point in time, I'm mad. I was talked into a view I didn't want, need, nor care about. I was charged for something I didn't get. I was mis informed. The receptionist didn't give a flying Dutchman. The parking lot and walkways were dangerous. Truly, dangerous and hazardous. I think the city of Rome should do some inspections to make sure that people who are there will be safe. The room was not safe or secure. It was drafty and not acceptable. I sat and tried to decide what I wanted to do. I felt unsafe. I decided I would rather sleep in my car in a snow storm that stay at this hotel. Nothing made me feel safe. It's dark, it's cold, the door doesn't shut. $9 is $9. I was going to bring it up in the morning, and let them know I wanted my $9 back for the lack of view. But everything else made me sick to my stomach. Looking around trying to calm myself, I discovered dirt on the bed, dirt on the mirrors, and hair all over the tub. I returned the keys to the front desk, and told him I was checking out. He told me he couldn't give me a receipt. I asked again. I explained why I was leaving. He shrugged his shoulders and said okay. Then he explained the pet policy again. Honestly not the issue. Or the $9. It was literally everything else. He def didn't give a flying Dutchman. He has done nothing the maintain the public walkways. I dont know if he's in charge of plowing, but at least the walkways, not maintained. As a business there is a certain expectation of safety and cleanliness. This was ignored. He didn't care at all about what I said charged. He could have put me in a different room. Someone there doesn't care or that room would t be rented. It's unsafe. And the owner manager doesn't care since it looks like it's been like that for a while. So no bothering to replace the door. People don't matter. So I left. I returned the key. I asked for a receipt. I told him why I was leaving, so that he could explain to his bosses, which he didnt care to do. I went to the Wendy's 2 blocks away and got a frosty. I left the hotel before 11pm. According to the woman I spoke to on Monday, I checked in at 10:47. That's actually when I left. I was also informed that when I "checked in" my room rates was adjusted from $147.85 to $139.85 since I didn't get my room with a view. I explained that my rate in my reservation confirmation was $139.85, so that didn't make sense. She said that I'd have to take it up w the owner. The owner emailed me and reversed my pet fee. Still didn't give me a refund for the $9 extra dollars for the "room w a view". I would have appreciated an apology, an actual sorry. These folks don't apologize. They don't care. The guy working nuts looked at me with such venom when I walked in to check in, like I was literally the worst thing ever, to disturb him and make him check me in. He was equally venement to a guy who brought a doordash order in. He was just rude. Don't stay here. They don't care. It's safer to sleep in your car in the Walmart parking lot a mile or so up the road.

We try to approach everything positively and were very excited about our first trip to the Utica/Rome area, but there was absolutely nothing positive about the Ramada by Wyndham Rome - Verona at all. We traveled quite a distance and arrived an hour early. We asked when we booked if we arrived early and were told yes. What the hotel did not tell you is that in order to check in an hour early you have an additional $30 fee. The parking lot was barely passible with a single lane plowed and very slippery/difficult to walk. No care was given to maintaining the property or parking lot around the building. When we got to our room, it was filthy. The front desk told us Housekeeping had already been there; however, the bed sheets were dirty, the floor had food, hair and hair ties along with garbage on the floor. A gentleman showed up with a mop and ran it over the floor and left. The bathroom toilet, floor and bathtub were disgusting. The mattress was springy, noisy and uncomfortable. No one came to speak with us nor did they offer a refund of even the early check in nevermind the room charges. They claimed there was not another room although there were only a few cars in the parking lot. It takes a lot for me to write this review because I've worked retail my entire life. I've never been disregarded or dismissed as easily as this awful hotel. We will never again stay at a Ramada or Wyndham hotel again. We work so hard for our money and felt so disrespected and awful that home never looked better!

The room was large and clean. Great sleeping on the firm foam king mattress bed. The staff were helpful. We traveled here to attend my nieceâs wedding in Hamilton. There was a big event at Colgate University, so lodging was scarce. Luckily we found this motel with a Dennyâs restaurant for delicious breakfasts each morning. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed the unbelievable fall foliage and countryside views as we traveled to and from the activities at the wedding venue. Overall a great place to stay for the price!

Very dirty crumbs and dust all over the floor, outdated ac unit people were loud in the hallways, curtains didnât cover all the way so lots of light in the room fridge was dirty inside and microwave. Looked like the only things that were clean were the sheets and bedding which was relieving and the towels.
