Hilton Garden Inn Riverhead

Nice renovations in the rooms , lovely bathrooms . A few minor niggles Fire on all day but when you return at night it’s turned off . Complimentary coffee in the lobby was grim at best and no flavoured coffee creamers anymore . We weren’t informed at check in that The breakfast buffet is only at weekends . Other guests weren’t told this either . The cooked to orders breakfasts were superb though . House keeping needs sorting out. It says online Housekeeping daily It also says housekeeping on request and in the bathrooms it says housekeeping done every other day . They just couldn’t figure it out . When I challenged the front desk about it I was spoken to like a child …Customer service doesn’t come with an attitude . The hot tub was lovely but the towels were minuscule . Overall we would stay again but just sort out the little stuff .

Breakfast was delicious, shout out to Sal and his team! Great service and delicious food. Very happy :) hotel was nice, check in and check out was easy. Would come back and suggest the buffet breakfast. Even during reservations the hotel accommodated us well, looking forward to trying the pool!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this Hilton, and very much appreciated being allowed an early check-in by the lovely Diamond at the front desk. The room was pretty and clean. Nifty granite windowsill. Very comfortable beds and fluffy pillows. The lobby bar was very appealing with its pretty lighting, though we did not have a chance to enjoy it with others who looked comfortable and happy to be there. Ditto, for the large outdoor hot tub with attractive blue lights inside it. The indoor pool also looked great, though again no time for a dip during our all-too-brief visit because we prioritized our beach time. Breakfast, included with our reservation, was delightful--and not only because of the scrumptious made-to-order Greek omelette and my friend's simpler bacon and eggs, every bit as good. I particularly appreciated the free local newspapers that let us learn about doings in the area. What really made our morning was meeting Barbara, who graciously agreed we could enjoy our meal on the outdoor patio and who was so pleasant and friendly. Our server Carlos kept our coffee cups filled, brought us extra cream and like Barbara was kind and generous with his smile. All in all, a tiptop hotel experience that we aim to seek out again when in the area.

We had a block of rooms for our son's wedding guests, I personally had 3 rooms reserved. Upon our arrival after the wedding my wife asked for the keys to the rooms and was treated dismissively by the rude night clerk. Upon my arrival a few minutes later I was informed that I needed to show ID to get the room keys which I did and was then told that we had two rooms with king beds and a room with "a" queen. I gave the queen bed to my other son and his girlfriend and explained to my mom and my aunt that they would need to split one of the king rooms. My son's room was on the first floor my wife and I were on the third as were my mom and my aunt. Our room smelled of possibly marijuana as did my mother's room and our room had used face clothes in the bathroom. It turns out the first floor room was a double queen (not what we were told at check in) my son and his girlfriend went to get into the first bed and found black stains on the sheets, they went to the second bed to find three spiders between the sheet and a beetle under a pillow. As it was after one in the morning we all made the best of our situations and got some rest. In the morning I was asked by my new daughter in law if we enjoyed our welcome bags that she had made up for all of her guests. It turns out that not only had I not received the welcome bag neither had any of her guests. My wife and I travel regularly and often stay at Hilton Hotels as they normally are clean, friendly, and there is a level of quality to the brand. This was not the case by any means

The “ADA” bathroom has a tub. We were told it had a roll in shower. Very difficult situation! Also told Coffee pot was broken! Will never stay there again, we are also Hilton Honor Member for many hrs! Plan on posting this & speaking to Hilton Corp.
