North Creek Lodge at Gore Mountain

After we checked in and went to the room we found conditions that were deplorable. There were large gaps around a window mounted AC units with allow very cold air to blow into the room. It was 20 degree F outside. There was an electrical extension cord tapped to the floor going into the bathroom. We returned the entry card to the front desk and explained the problems noted above. They did not offer to remedy the problems or provide a different room. And they refuse to give us a credit for the room charges.

Cleaning was not up to par. Rooms were sparse and very overpriced. The breakfast was very disappointing and I would rather have not had any included. The good thing about this place is the proximity to mount Gore. The floor in the room was coming apart, there was only two small pillows on the bed and the duvet had clearly not been washed.

Our favorite stop on 10 day vacation! The 5 of us (3 adult children) and us stayed after a day of skiing then continued our trip to Canada. Melissa and her crew made it feel like home. After checking in we had dinner then spent the evening in the lodge playing darts, cards and talking to some local people. The rooms were clean and fresh. We had 2 rooms and it was great to be able to park right at the room. The food was good and the bar had a great canoe decorated with lights. It had a true lodge atmosphere. Thank you for the awesome time! We would love to come back next year.

Stayed there for the weekend and had a lovely experience. The hosts are so friendly and attentive. Very clean rooms and really good food. It was perfect for a short weekend while dropping my kid off to camp. Close to everything in the Lake George area.

Overpriced for what it is, a very basic, older hotel, with few amenities, and that's fine but it's too expensive for that. There is an on-site restaurant, not too appealing because it smelled like stale cigarette smoke. They give you a very skimpy continental breakfast; they could do much better considering there's a restaurant right there. The management, at least the man, (but not the woman), was very friendly and accommodating. The room surface areas and bathroom were clean but there were two dead bugs on the floor at bedside and under the table so they could do a little more thorough room floor cleaning (no carpets). Sheets were extremely thin, and the small pillows smelled sweaty; very unappealing. One problem here, we believe, may be that they do not have enough good help. The single bathroom soap is tiny, not enough for the whole evening and morning. They have an outside garbage can near the rooms that looked like it hasn't been dumped in a couple of days (completely full) and there were a lot of flies around it that can (and did) come in your room if you open the door too long. Fridge in room; micro can be brought to your room upon request.
