Asked for room on other side of highway, front agent said there weren’t any without looking but said she has ‘no problem sleeping on the highway side when she stays here’. Seriously? When does a front desk agent stay at the hotel. Very noisy Highway. Turned on fan and tv and still heard Highway traffic. Didn’t recognize my Diamond status. Had me sign check in receipt (haven’t done that in years) and rushed me off. Will never stay here again!!

This newer Hampton Inn and Suites is your best option if you are staying in Newburgh or Hudson Valley area. My family and I visit the area atleast twice a year to see relatives and this is our first time trying to stay in Newburgh. We usually stay somewhere across the River because of more brand name options. Our 5 day stay over Thanksgiving provided the right amount of comfort and convenience. If you have stayed at a good Hampton Inn before, you can expect the same and no real negatives - a fair amount of options for hot breakfast, coffee and tea always in the lobby, and very comfortable beds. This hotel will be our go-to option moving forward when traveling to the “valley”.

Be careful of this overpriced hotel (even in the off-season). As longtime Hilton Honors members, we were very disappointed. We paid over $400 for a standard room with no microwave, a broken clock, and a non-caring staff. And, of course, no feedback once the property was notified. Keep driving and find a property that can provide a quality room with associated service.

I'm really disappointed with this hotel's management. I've been a Diamond and heavy business traveler for 20+ years and have literally spent more than 8 years of my life in hotels. My flights to head to the area for a week-long business trip from Georgia on 8/5/24 were canceled due to Hurricane Debby. As typical in this situation, I called the hotel directly to let them know of the situation and that I wouldn't be there for my one-night stay. The associate I talked to said she'd take care of it. A few days later, I was charged for the cancellation. To be clear, I was past the one-day cancellation deadline when I called after my flights were canceled, but I was under the impression that they would cancel without penalty, given the situation. Over 20+ years, situations like this have occurred probably once a year, and I've never once been charged for circumstances clearly outside my control. I called the hotel again, asking for the manager so I could explain my conversation with the front desk representative on 8/5 and ask if they really intended to charge me. I was told the manager would call me back two days later. I never was contacted.
