Delta Hotels by Marriott New York Times Square

There is construction going on now, and I was on a the 2nd floor overlooking construction materials out the window. But, despite that, it was a delightful place to stay, unless you plan on sitting in your room looking outside rather than being outside. The room was relatively spacious, there was a small refrigerator, a coffee machine, and a nice TV. The lobby has a bakery/coffee shop. However, the win is the location. You're a reasonable walk from most a heap of popular spots - Time Square, High Line, the Piers, Penn Station, Hudson Yards, etc. Everywhere is walking if you have time. I walked to Morningside Heights one day, and the East Village the next. Efficient, friendly people at the small reception desk. Lots of parking garages nearby. $1 cheese slices all around. A perfectly fine place to stay.

This hotel is a joke, Save your money and go elsewhere and don’t even get me started on the staff and room service they are very bossy and not polite at all and it takes about 2 hours to get towels when u ask for them. And also in the bathroom the shower doesn’t even have a door, water just flys all over the bathroom, also the elevators take forever to come and when they come u literally stop at every floor on your way down cause this hotel doesn’t have a staff elevator smh . I could go on and on about stuff about this hotel. Just save your money and go elsewhere u won’t regret it .

Cleanliness is an issue: The floors in our room had debris and visible shoe marks. The tub is chipped and had hairs. Some of the towels smelled. The coffee machine had a bad odour. The washroom door is a sliding door that does not provide much separation as the gap between door and wall is huge. The washroom itself is very small. Be sure you are very comfortable with your travel partner as there will be very little privacy. The location is great. We had access to the Pantry which was a very neat concept. Water fountains in the hallway is great. The bed linen luckily had no issues and the bed was comfortable. The building seems a bit decrepit and just had a coat of paint poorly painted on and turned into a Delta. This property really doesn’t meet the standards you’d expect from a Delta Hotel
