I love this hotel. Clean, comfortable, smaller rooms but so well apportioned that they feel big. Staff is great. Abraham was particularly wonderful this morning. He recognized my from a previous visit, he was friendly, helpful and made my morning easy and hassle free.

We had a great time at Virgin Hotels. The views were amazing to say the least! Our room had insane views of the Empre State Building which was great for my wife that loves said views. The breakfast was solid and the hotels central location was very useful for our activities. Overall, we might consider staying with them again!

This hotel might have gotten at least three stars for providing a place to sleep and shower except my husband got the worst food poisoning of his life eating a cheeseburger from the hotel restaurant/room service (Everdene). We ate the exact same thing all day except for the burger and he became violently ill within an hour of consuming it, so it had to have been that. He has never been this sick in his life. He missed a whole day in New York and the Easter holiday. He is still almost too sick to fly home. The front desk staff just looked at me when I told them about this like okay, whatever. One man acted concerned and said they would send up water. When I did call down for a few bottles, the extremely rude person in guest services told me to get water at the ice machine in my floor. All I’d asked for was three bottles of water, which he said he would send up but never did. Now our big memory of New York will be my husband missing half our vacation so violently ill and this horrible stay at this hotel. The views are nice and the location is okay for where it is, but also, there are very limited options within the hotel. Rooms are tiny, the glass in the windows is paper thin so you literally hear every single siren, honk, whatever is going on down below at all hours of the night, elevators are annoying and the in-room fridge only holds a few tiny drinks which they already pack so full with their own minibar you can’t even use it. There are hundreds of other hotel options in New York. Choose one of those.

We had an EXCELLENT stay at Virgin NYC — and it was mostly because of the outstanding staff, especially Denzel. The team is professional and incredibly helpful, especially Denzel and Darnell. Denzel went above and beyond in his customer service and we were so pleasantly surprised to see how kind, efficient and warmly helpful he was with everyone that crossed his path. He is a superstar! Not only is he whip smart and great at problem solving, he is heartful and welcoming unlike any other hotel staff member in any of the 5 star hotels we have stayed at in NYC. Virgin has a nice facility but it would be cold without these bright lights as their heads of staff. Give Denzel and Darnell a raise or else they will be poached by another 5 Star very soon. We will be back just to see this beautiful human again!!! What a difference excellent customer service makes in a 5 Star experience.

My son and husband did their first "boy's getaway" in NYC, and had a terrific stay and experience at Virgin New York!! I wrote the hotel to request a "special treat" to be waiting for them in their room upon arrival, and the service I received exceeded my expectations in every way. My email was responded to within hours, and despite the fact I hadn't requested a sweet treat for the room within their standard 48-hour request time...they made it happen. Fresh cookies and drinks were waiting when my husband and son checked in, with the most amazing, personalized card, wishing them a wonderful weekend and a terrific time at the Yankee's game they were in town for. Interactions with the staff were wholly positive, and the breakfast was well done too! We would definitely choose this hotel again for family travel, and would love to come back in the summer to use the rooftop pool! :) Thank you to Denzel, Diana and Carla for making this first boy's trip for our family truly special!
