How good does a hotel have to be when you're shelling out to sleep five subway stops from home because your planned vacation got cancelled and if you don't get a break you're going to crack? Absurdly good; mental health load-bearingly good. The Ludlow is absolutely gorgeous, but my stay was made extremely extra special by Jonathan at the front desk, who made sure that I got a room with a bathtub when there were basically none available. He went above and beyond and made my staycation worthwhile. I could have been a puddle in the lobby, and instead I'm in a tub with a view.

Great Hotel and good location for a trip to NY easy access to subways and plenty of local places to eat and get a drink. Room was quite small but was well appointed and perfectly adequate for our stay. If your fed up with the plastic big chain hotels then you will find the this old school approach a welcome change. Reception and bar staff are super friendly. If your coming from JFK Airport then use the hotel to book your transfer. A great cozy bar and a roof terrace that would be fantastic in the Spring or Summer (It was a bit cold in February) Could do with some new cushions on the seats in the restaurant. Will definitely use it on our next visit

Beautiful hotel with great attention to details. Loved all the little touches from the garden to the embroidery on the towels and sheets. Best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. I’m not sure if it was a perk of my credit card or my stay but we had unlimited options of the menu. Staff was intentional and remembered our drink order from the day before. Bed was not the most comfy but we slept well with no disruptions. Elevator is a bit slow but even those small things not enough to knock down their high score. Also very accessible to the subway.

My girlfriend wanted to stay here for her birthday, but I let the staff know that I planned to propose. They were immediately hospitable, attentive, and helpful - I picked out additional accommodations to be set up while we were out and about, and they delivered everything beautifully. Our upgraded terrace room was gorgeous and absolutely brimming full of natural light. Room service breakfast from the Dirty French the next morning came quickly and was delicious. And, most exciting of all, I still dream of that high-intensity overhead shower. My fiancée (she said yes!) and I had a perfect, luxurious stay, and we can't wait to go back!

The Ludlow is my go-to stay for business and personal trips in NYC. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and unique. The rooms are always immaculate, but the staff and management is why I will always return here. Everyone who I’ve ever met staying here has made our stay so enjoyable, and they go above and beyond to make our stay memorable and comfortable. To me, luxury is all about experience and they just get it right every time- the Ludlow team has assisted us with our work travel needs through the city and our return to the airport. The front desk is easy going and professional and just friendly overall. Also, the room service and restaurant Dirty French downstairs has the best food! Don’t skip the bread service!! I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. 10/10 every time and always my recommendation to those traveling to NYC for fun or work. I can’t wait to return soon!
