Hampton Inn by Hilton New Paltz

Clean room, nice exercise room, efficient check-in I made the mistake of making the arrangements through TripAdvisor. Big upcharge. Next time will be different. Very close to the thruway. Think Pasquale’s for no fuss eating. The breakfast bar was adequate. Tasty coffee. Pretty good oatmeal.

This property's manager actually had the gall to call me and at the last minute no less to tell me that they were in fact cancelling my reservation. They actually laughed about it when they claimed that the confirmed rate was a glitch and that they would not be honoring it. I asked that they show me where exactly in our agreement did it say that they could do this and while I did not get an answer from them, Hilton admitted that this was in fact a breach of contract.

We just spent two nights here and, I've got to tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't expecting much in a Hampton Inn right off of the Thruway in New Paltz but I was dead wrong. Very nice staff, an extremely clean and well kept hotel and a large room with an even larger bath. A breakfast that lasted until 10:00AM and outside grounds where you can sit out on a park bench and enjoy the night sky without any concern. Well done Hampton Inn!

The people are what make this hotel special. The management is great. The entire staff is wonderful. Margaret goes out of her way for me whenever I stay. The hotel itself is always clean. I leave before breakfast hours, so I can’t rate that. I have other choices of hotels to stay at. I always choose this one when I am in the area.

My girlfriend gets Hilton points so we stay in a lot of Hamptons. For the most part they're pretty similar in terms of quality and service. Interestingly, the Hampton in New Paltz gave us a room that was identical to the one in Owego. Of course all the rooms are going to be similar, but in terms of the geometry and placement of furniture, it was identical. Anyway... This is another basic Hampton. No complaints, and nothing special. Unlike the one in Owego, I had to work a bit to connect my laptop to the TV, but it did work in the end, so all's well.
