Homewood Suites by Hilton Syracuse Liverpool

Homewood Suites by Hilton Syracuse/Liverpool is conveniently located off of Interstates 90 and 81. Hotel is 3.4 miles from Syracuse Hancock International Airport. Guest suite buildings are separate from main complex. Complimentary breakfast with above average quality fare with good selection. No on-site restaurant. Several dining establishments are near the hotel, none within walking distance. Destiny USA shopping mall located several miles from the hotel. Hotel staff are friendly, knowledgeable. Main lobby and corridors were clean and well kept. Guest suite kitchen was spacious with modern and fully functional appliances. With the exception of oven, full kitchen available in guest suites however no kitchen sponge was present. The guest suite living area was clean and furnishings comfortable. The guest suite bedroom and bath were clean. Guest bath sink and vanity are separate from shower tub and toilet. Overall, the guest suite was comfortable. Fitness center was clean and featured basic, yet modern equipment. Ample parking available. Traffic noise from busy Route 45 located at the rear of the hotel did not present a problem. Overall decent experience and I would consider staying at this hotel again in the future when visiting the Syracuse/Liverpool area.

Bit of a strange hotel. It is old, well one building is really old, the other not so old, and both housing units are completely separate from the main office/lobby/eating area. This hotel seemed at the time of booking to fit our needs for a family medical emergency. But once we got there, and it was too late to cancel we discovered my elderly family members had to walk, with walkers from one building to the main lobby for breakfast, therefore they didn't go. The housing unit we were in was very old, to include the furniture and drapes, as in Victorian old. I will tell you though, it was clean. Housekeeping was visible everywhere, because THEY use the luggage carts, so you could find them on every floor with their work stuff on them. Probably my biggest disappointment was I specifically asked for a handicap room, walk-in shower for my 96 year old father. I called, more than once to double check, each time being reassured by the same person that this was going to be no problem. I called again the day they were to check in, again reassured and it would be no problem. ONLY to discover they were then put in a regular room!!! I was beyond furious. I mean seriously! So as to the question would we ever stay here again. NO.

This property is in an odd location; keep driving on Elwood Davis Road, and you'll find it. There are no adjacent restaurants, only the provided breakfast which we did not take advantage of. Our primary criterion for selecting the Homewood Suites in Liverpool was the availability of a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit, which we needed as we were traveling with our two young grandchildren. The unit had the perfect layout for us with one king bedroom and one bedroom with 2 queen beds for the kids. The beds were comfortable, and we had no complaints with them. Each room had its own bathroom and flatscreen TV. Plus there was a living room with a flatscreen TV and couch and chair. The kitchen had a full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and stovetop. There was ample packing right outside the door and a contactless electronic check-in and check-out. We were less satisfied with the every-other-day housekeeping, which is not acceptable at the price point for this unit. Furthermore, the floors were sticky and the rugs were dirty as evidenced by the residue on my white socks. Kudos for switching to the large bottles of good quality shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, but they do need to be replenished! We also had to request new towels and paper products as well as hair conditioner, which was sort of a hassle.

We were up for the eclipse and this hotel was a great choice as our home base. Nice hotel, though going through some upgrades while we were there. The best part of this hotel is the staff, every single one of them was so helpful. We had an issue with the lock on our room door and immediately there was someone there to help us get in and attempt to fix it. It turned about being a larger problem than originally thought and they made sure to keep us aware of the issue, what was being done, and then provided us a discount for the trouble. There are many gluten free (some prepackaged) items in the breakfast and the staff was helpful in ensuring that all of our members could eat safely. Good location right off the highway and easy, free parking.

Our King Suite was very nice. Having the kitchenette turned out to be very handy. The staff was eager to do all they could to help. On top of that, all the staff members we interacted with were cheerful and friendly. Gary on the breakfast crew needs a special shout out. He is very friendly. The front desk team were able to answer all kinds of hotel and local questions. If we need to return to the area for another visit in the future we will very likely stay here.
