We stayed at the Geneva Hampton Inn for 3 days during a snow and ice storm. I was impressed! The staff was friendly and accommodating, even though they were clearly understaffed. The hotel is conveniently located with lots of parking. The lobby, stairwells, rooms, pool/hot tub, and grounds were all spotless. It didn't cost an arm and a leg. It was quiet - even with a bus full of basketball players staying here. The free breakfast was above and beyond: waffles, cold and hot cereal, bread/bagels, fruit, juice, coffee/tea/cocoa/milk. Cookies in the evenings and free newspapers. Beds were comfortable. Very cool to be in the hot tub 2 feet from a snow bank! Loved it. Five stars.

We chose this Inn for location and access to venues in the area and stayed 3 nights. On the positive side, the Inn provided good lighting in bath & counter space. We appreciated the bath shelves and towel bars. The room was adequate with good desk space and available outlets. It’s a short drive to Seneca Falls and easy access to roads running along the Lake Seneca. Special appreciation to desk clerk Mike who recommended restaurants. We could not understand why there were no lake view rooms as the lake was so close by, so this was disappointing. The elevator carpet could use cleaning, plus there was some evidence of mold in the tub but otherwise the room was fairly clean. The small breakfast room would be crowded if there were numerous guests. The “always available coffee” was not always kept up. Breakfast was ok, but not equal to other Hamptons. Cereal, omelets, muffins and sausage were provided but little in the way of fruit or yogurts.

October 2024 If I could give this hotel a zero star I would. In general my entire experience with the hotel and corporate Hilton was a zero. Our room smelled of feces they move us quickly. The second room was better however we had our five month old puppy with us and we found a strong prescription pain pill on the floor in which she could’ve eaten and had devastating circumstances. The hotel front desk was alerted promptly and nothing was offered to us besides a talk with there housekeeping. Upon checkout they double charged us in which I had to call corporate back twice for it to be taken off our credit card. I have called the manager Mike several times he refuses to call me back. I am definitely not 100% or even 10% satire at this point. Now the hotel isn’t even answering their phone. I would never recommend this hotel. It is outdated, dirty and obviously poorly run. I would think Hilton and Hampton Inn would stand by their properties and their claim that everyone should be 100% satisfied. I never complain about things I am definitely not a “Karen” I give people many chances to make things right however this time the public should know how terrible the hotel was as well as the level of customer service both at the corporate and property level.

Upon check-in, the front desk was unmanned, and the lobby's floors and tables remained unclean, with remnants of breakfast still evident at 3:00 PM. Suites have only Queen-sized bed. The room's carpet was stained, the bathroom wallpaper was peeling, and the shower door was corroded with pink and black residue, rust clumps, and some growth in the door tracks. The shower door's inside rail fell off upon usage. The closet door was a makeshift mirror with exposed metal edges. The bedding and pillows were subpar for Hilton standards, and the desk chair was worn and torn. The hotel doors squeaked, and the thin walls allowed the sound of people entering and exiting their rooms to be heard clearly. The air conditioners were excessively loud. Moreover, a train track located directly behind the hotel had horns blaring every morning and evening, and a nearby nightclub's music played loudly until the early hours. Rest was impossible in this hotel. The breakfast was inedible, with crumbs and unclean surfaces everywhere, stale food, and a lack of milk and coffee in both the dining area and lobby. It was also noted that all employees, including those at the front desk and kitchen staff, were smoking on the side of the building during this time. Guests repeatedly found themselves waiting at the front desk for assistance, but no one was available to help. The property is considerably dated and in dire need of renovations, encompassing the rooms, hallways, and elevator. It is disheartening to see Hilton permit such a facility to represent its brand. We have never experienced a Hilton of such poor quality. The customer service at this front desk is non-existent. Many people are waiting for assistance while phones go unanswered. Despite several attempts to call the front desk to inquire about streaming services and TV assistance, there was no response. It was later discovered that the hotel does not provide streaming options like Netflix, offering only standard TV channels without any movie channels. Who has ever heard of this in today's world? I earnestly hope Hilton will uphold its standards for brand representation. We do not plan to return unless improvements are made and will not recommend this Hampton Inn in Geneva, NY. The hotel was a complete letdown and does not merit the reservation or cost we paid to stay there. I was informed that Guest Relations would follow up within three days; however, I have not received any communication, nor has there been any follow-up.
