Hampton Inn Cortland

Second time staying at this hotel and both visits have been nice. Clean, comfortable, quiet room. Small, but nice, breakfast in the morning to get things started. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate offered throughout the visit. Didn't use pool or fitness center, but both looked they were ideal for use during a quick visit. Location is close to highway and some fast food options right around the corner. Close to the center of Cortland and short distance from SUNY Cortland.

The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the room was clean. However, the room itself was not as accessible as it could have been. The bed was lower, but the bathroom was too small. A wheelchair could enter the bathroom, but not turn around. Some of the spacious bedroom area could have be sacrificed for a larger, more accessible bathroom. The breakfast as a little disappointing, with not much choice of items.

We chose this location as an easy stop over on our trip south on Route 81. It is very convenient to the exits. The hotel was everything we could ask for. A clean room, plenty of towels, a comfortable bed, a well prepared Hampton breakfast, and friendly people. The young lady who checked us in made a good recommendation nearby for supper. We would not hesitate to book this location again.

Had to stay here while dropping our son at college. Everything in Ithaca was near $600 per night. At $300, we felt ripped off. Sink was broken, no extra pillows in entire hotel, blood stain on blanket and sheets so old the elastic didn't hold them on to the bed. Next year, we'll glady pay double!

I will never stay at this hotel again. It was old and dirty. Nothing was updated. For our entire stay, one of the 2 elevators was broken. At one point both elevators were broken and we had to walk up 6 flights of stairs with my disabled child. The breakfast served was awful and blackened bananas were served. The back of my remote control was broken and reported it to get a replacement but never got one. First and last time I will ever stay there and would not recommend it. I called corporate to report all this and they contacted the hotel and the manager basically said that it was all lies. The manager has no customer service skills at all.
