My husband and I stayed at Asa Ransom House for two nights on a trip to Buffalo. I made the reservation because it was a convenient location between Buffalo and Rochester, but it ended up being an unexpectedly relaxing experience! It is just like the photos, which is to say very charming. The rooms were very comfortable and very clean, with extras like unusually luxurious towels. I also appreciated how easy it was for us to stay with our dachshund. For example, we had a door from our room opening to a sitting porch, with easy access to their lovely gardens. The common sitting room with coffee/tea, games and fireplace is also very charming and inviting. The breakfast was delicious, and the innkeeper has all the qualities one hopes for in a host. I will definitely stay again!

The Asa Ransom House is an historic inn located in Clarence Hollow at the eastern margin of the sprawling Buffalo suburbs. ‘The Hollow’ and the inn retain the charm of a rural village. We stayed for three days while enjoying Thanksgiving with extended family. The owner was charming and attentive, and an engaged host. We felt like guests at his home. The room was filled with period antiques, bed was comfy. Our aussiedoodle felt at home, and got a small thanksgiving treat for her good behavior.

The Asa Ransom House has been a fixture in WNY for many years. The one time high end restaurant has sadly closed, but the B&B is still operating and is excellent. The rooms are beautifully decorated in appropriate period decor, and one can tell there has been great attention to detail. The breakfast served to overnight guests was also excellent. I highly recommend the Asa Ransom House.

This was the second stay at the Asa Ransom House for my wife and myself. We stayed there two years ago and had such a wonderful time that when we found out that we needed to return to Buffalo for a family wedding we immediately booked our stay at Asa Ransom even before we knew where the venue was going to be. It is a beautiful historic hotel that has been renovated lovingly with care to the history but has also been updated to be incredibly comfortable. The owner is very warm and welcoming as are all of the staff. The breakfasts are especially pleasant in the charming dining room or on the porch with views of the lovely flowers and landscaping. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. It is a treasure.

Absolutely beautiful property. We enjoyed our stay immensely! The room was well appointed and the decor was lovely. Breakfast was delicious. The check-in/check-out process was very easy. The owner was very kind and offered information about the history of the property.
