Hampton Inn Harriman Woodbury

Conveniently located. Comfortable. The first room we checked into smelled like someone had smoked in it. It was the furthest from the elevator. Luckily, there was another room available, very close to the elevator, not sure why they didn't give me that one in the first place!

We checked in at night. Checking in was a breeze thanks to the friendly receptionist. Room was surprisingly large. Everything was working ok. Tv was huge and had many channels but there was no kettle to boil water in the room. Room also had a microwave. Shower working good but no bidet (maybe hotel can consider this in future). Bed was comfy and wifi working perfectly. Sleep quality is good although the walls are thin. Breakfast was nice and simple. Eggs and toast and fruits. Coffees and teas. There is also a shutlle service to woodbury commons premium outlet but the pickup from the outlet sadly is only up to 3pm so we to take the uber back which cost us USD11! Maybe the 24hr shop can also add on a few more food for supper. It is also a short walk to Aldi where you can buy food supplies actually. Overall pleasant experience if you need accommodation in Woodbury.

Cleanliness is my number one priority for hotel ratings. We only stayed one night and if we had arrived earlier or less exhausted I probably would have requested a room change or a cleaning visit, in particular due to the bathroom. Managers, you need to train housekeeping to pay attention not just to the toilet seat, but the entire bowl, including the outside, the floors, shower walls, etc.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Woodbury NY on the first night of a New England tour. Our room was nice and clean and in good repair, but the decor very simple, almost stark. We were relatively comfortable, and had a good nights rest. That being said though, it took us quite a while to figure out the heating/cooling system. There was not any information about the amenities of the hotel in our room, it had to be scanned by QR code. The bathroom was nice, very clean. The breakfast was adequate but not as many options as I'm used to.

My main concerns are cleanliness and location and this had both. We stayed here for one night. The room was very clean. Had your coffee pot ,microwave , and mini fridge. There was also a continental breakfast that looked pretty good, even though we didn’t take advantage of it. There is an exercise room and indoor pool pool as well. The location is great, especially if you want to go to Woodbury Commons, which is about a mile away.. there is an Aldi and kohls within walking distance. Walmart, IHOP, Wendy’s and chilies. and TJ Maxx is within 2 miles. We would definitely come back here in the area
