Hampton Inn & Suites Cazenovia

This hotel is very pleasant to stay at. It’s far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Syracuse yet, it’s close enough to get where you need to easily. I’ve been staying here 1-2 days a week for work and it’s always clean, comfortable, breakfast is good, and staff is friendly. I don’t usually interact with staff as I usually come a little late and use the digital key but on occasion when I’ve needed something, they were always able to accommodate me with a smile. One of the biggest things for besides the basic cleanliness and comfortability for me is, the outlets in the rooms so work! I stay at a lot of hotels and it’s very frustrating having to plug in all my devices for work and personal and only the bathroom outlet works. So that’s a plus, especially if you have kids and you so have electronic devices to plug in. I highly recommend this Hampton Inn.

Our one night stay was wonderful. The employee who checked us in was very helpful and friendly and our room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast employee was also helpful and friendly. I recommend staying at this location.

We had driven all day from Niagara Falls on Hwy 20. We love small towns, scenic views, and an easy pace. We were very tired and I have to say how wonderful the greeting was when we arrived. We were given all the information we needed plus restaurants in the area. The hotel is clean and nicely decorated. Quiet and a peaceful country setting. Highly recommended.

Super friendly staff and atmosphere. Our dog made loads of new friends and they took care of everyone in our party from start to finish. So clean and wonderful experience. Brand new facilities and close to many walkable attractions in the Lake Cazenovia area.

There aren't many hotel choices in this immediate area (near our son's home), and we have had good experiences with other Hampton Inns. We were not happy with this one. We stayed four nights and our room was made up only once, despite our requests to the desk and hall maid supervisor. The towels were changed once, but the bed was not made until the last night made and the room itself was likewise cleaned only once. The air conditioner vents are not adjustable so they kept blowing on us all night -- we finally had to turn the thermostat off, which eventually made the room hot and stuffy. The bed was too hard , but this is a matter of taste. Worse yet in a digital age, the night table on the right side of the bed had no place to plug in any device, either to a wall outlet or USB charger. Most hotels at least have USB outlets in their clocks. Speaking of which, my night table clock was running fast but there was no way a guest could change the time -- only the alarm. I managed to do it by undoing a panel on the back that staid "staff only" and fooling around till I found the button that would set the right time. In the bathroom, the toilet was so low that the only way I could get up was to reach out and grab the edge of the shower door. I am 77 and don't require an accessible room, but if you're going to use a toilet from 1978 that was obviously designed to accommodate children, you should at least supply a grab bar for their parents and grandparents. The only reason I didn't give this a lower rating is that the hotel is spotlessly maintained and clean, and the breakfast, while nothing special, was adequate. The coffee was good and always hot..
