Super 8 by Wyndham Canandaigua

The Super 8 has a nice location, was very clean, reasonable prices as we were passing thru and had a friendly front end staff. Sitting near the north end of Lake Canandaigua, it is only a mile or two from their historic downtown and was convenient a lot of restaurants and shopping. This is a good economical overnight property. The only negative was the breakfast was poor by even my standards offering a mini muffin, no decaf etc. Take breakfast off the list of your amenities. We drove across the street and got a great quick breakfast at Wendy's. Yet I still gave a 3/Average rating.

We've stayed in this place 6 times while came for skiing during this winter months. This place has a very convenient location, close to shopping and local attractions with the nice small lake on the backyard. The hotel is clean and cozy for affordable price we paid. I've points in Wyndham hotels and successfully used them when booked the room. The staff is very friendly and helpful and did everything to make our stay pleasant. The room was clean and cozy with all necessities we needed.

Lovely staff, clean room, comfortable bed, easy check in and out, but "breakfast" was only a bowl of prepacked muffins and a jug of orange juice. Not even hoy water for tea. This should either be improved/expanded, or not advertised as including breakfast!

With the exception of the friendly front desk staff, this was a pretty awful stay. We decided to wipe down every surface and the cloth was brown afterwards. Food on the floor, dirty utensils behind the refrigerator, mystery tool and crumbs on the window sill, urine and pubic hairs on the toilet. As a Wyndham rewards member, I was beyond disappointed in this property. It was still quite expensive at $90 for the awful experience.

Do not recommend. No elevator. Room was very small. Bed linens were stained. Room smelled like smoke. Room phone didn't work. Coffee maker in room was missing a piece. Had to request room to be cleaned after two nights. Worst hotel experience we've ever had.
