But we saw none. We checked into this hotel after escaping YMCA westside so upon check in this could might as well have been the Plaza to us compared to what we came from! The lady in the reception seemed annoyed and didnât break a smile once. The room was lovely and just what we needed. Due to the location we will not be returning though - very noisy street/intersection outside hotel and a bit of a walk to get to anything.

I had a great time staying at the Tillary this past week. The staff was invaluable, and check-in was easy. Jalissa and Maureen were especially helpful with my room. I got a room with a wonderful view of the city and the Manhattan Bridge. They even suggested I stop by their bar (which was pretty lively) before heading to my room. I had a great experience at a great price. I plan on staying here again next time.

We were on our first trip to New York as a mom with her daughter and friend. From the moment we entered the hotel, the customer service was extraordinary! Everybody was friendly, professional, and went out of their way to make our experience memorable. Yves did an amazing job at accommodating us with the space we needed. We are so appreciative of his kindness and professionalism, and will definitely be back because of this experience.

My husband and I went to the Tillary for a quick last minute weekend get away. Upon arrival, we were met by the friendliest and most accommodating front desk staff, especially Yves B. Yves was professional, friendly, and made sure that we were comfortable. He went above and beyond to provide us with EXCELLENT customer service and is definitely a stand out. The room was clean and spacious and we had no issues with parking. Would definitely recommend!

I recently stayed at Tillary Hotel NYC and was extremely disappointed by the lack of communication and basic courtesy. As someone working in hotel development for almost 2 decades, I understand that whether itâs a 3-star or a 4-star property, clear communication and genuine hospitality are non-negotiable. Despite booking well in advance, my emailsâseeking clarification on check-in, check-out, and early arrival optionsâwent unanswered, setting a poor tone for my experience. Upon arrival, I was not greeted warmly. Instead, a front desk staff member, busy texting on his phone, curtly asked, âCan I help you?â This impersonal greeting was a stark contrast to the level of service I expected. After waiting a few hours in the brightly lit lobby, I encountered Russ, who appeared to be the Front Office Manager. He was considerably more professional, but the initial experience left a lasting negative impression. While the service and hospitality were lacking, I did enjoy my room, which was comfortable. It is disappointing to witness such disregard for guest experience, and I hope management takes immediate steps to improve their customer service and communication protocols.
