Hotel Indigo Williamsburg Brooklyn an IHG Hotel

The problem was no hot water in the hotel for over12 hours - from 9 PM until we left the next morning. Fo all I know, there's still no hot water as I write this review. I asked the desk clerk to write on our room receipt that there was no hot water; she would not sign or give her name. The manager would only give her first name; I was finally able to get the name of the general manager. Other than the hot water and the reluctance of the desk clerk to attest to the hot water issue, the hotel was fine. Exceptionally stylish. Within walking distance of good restaurants. I'm of the opinion that new construction in Brooklyn tends to be shoddy; I've heard more than a few horror stories and I don't even live there. I wonder if the hot water system installed was subpar.

The customer service is the worse ever… I come weekly for business and the service acts like they do you a favor… but last night the room was 50 degrees and I asked for the heat to be fixed they told me the engineer is on the way and that was for 2 hours… he never arrived and they told me I can check out for not penalty…😩 I had to fight to be changed rooms and by then it was already 11:15pm… terrible terrible service!!!!

Let me start by saying that the Hotel Indigo Williamsburg has a great prime location near great restaurants and the subway, and it was a convenient place to stay when we went to see Zach Bryan in December at the Barclays Center. But there's something icky to look out for -- the hotel's apparent status as Brooklyn's premier drain fly haven. I first noticed our iridescent co-guests while enjoying what should have been a peaceful morning shower. And then I noticed some flies who had passed over to drain fly heaven -- their chalky carcasses resting on the wall tile and the ceiling above. The staff seemed unfazed ("Oh, the drain flies? They're harmless!"), which was frustrating because watching these bathroom-dwellers emerge from your shower drain does take a strong constitution. I counted 10+ flies in our one small stall shower. And yes, they're harmless – but try telling that to yourself when one lands on you when you are bathing.

Beautiful hotel BUT DOES NOT REFUND THE $200.00 SECURITY DEPOSIT! I had to call six times to try to get my refund and nobody was able to help me. This is despicable for a hotel of this caliber. I would never stay here again or recommend it due to their dishonesty.

My wife and I arrived at this hotel and went to the registration desk to check in. We didn’t really pay attention to the time, as we get to the hotel when we get to the hotel. If they have a room ready, great, if they don’t, we drop our bags and move on. This time when we got to the desk to check in, they said “sorry check-in doesn’t start till 3 PM”. I looked at my watch. It was 2:52. It was kind of weird. We did eventually get checked in and the hotel was nice, we were upgraded, so the room was spacious, and the location was very good. However, this hotel charges a “destination fee“ which I find both objectionable and dishonest. So, beware. All in all a decent hotel, but the combination of the check-in experience and the fake fee added onto your dill, suggests you should think twice before booking here.
