A nice clean hotel. I was skeptical because of some negative reviews but I was delighted to find them with cause. Our room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. We were given prompt transportation to the airport The price was extremely reasonable

Short version: Excellent service for an impressive price. I'm going to make this my go-to when I fly out of Albany. Long version: I booked a room here for a short night before a flight with my family. The room was pretty clean, and the bedding was spotless. There were a couple of hairs on the bathroom floor, but no big deal. The microwave and fridge were clean; I didn't use the coffee maker. The pool looked great. We had a poolside room, and a family was playing there. It looked clean, with no litter or dirty towels lying around. The room was warm, and there were plenty of comfortable chairs. It wasn't loud enough to be annoying, though the family was gone by early evening. Next time, I plan to be there early enough to swim. We didn't try the breakfast because we were out the door too early. The shuttle driver was waiting for us and ready to go in the lobby at 0400. He was professional and friendly. They have a nice shuttle bus, and he drove safely. (He also loaded and unloaded my bag which TSA later said was 50.9 lbs even though it felt to me like it was no more than 50.) I arranged the shuttle with the desk clerk the night before. He asked if I wanted a wake-up call. (Yeah, don't we all?) My 18 and 20-year-old kids were like, "They CALL you on the PHONE to wake you UP??" 😂 We left our car in their parking lot for seven days for a $25 parking fee. Not bad since the ALB long-term lot is $12/day, and the shuttle ride is just as long. The lot was well-lit and well-traveled, and it felt safe. When we got back to NY, I called the front desk and asked if they could send the shuttle to the airport. It was pushing midnight. The clerk said the driver would be there in 15-20, and it was 18 minutes. Same shuttle driver, friendly and efficient. We got back and scraped the snow off the car. When I got in to start it, I heard the dreaded "RRRMMM rrmmmm.. mm... tick tick tick." It's an old car, and I forgot to disconnect the negative terminal. I went back in and found the driver. (I think his name is Billa, but I might be remembering that wrong.) He brought his car over so I could jump mine. Still friendly and professional even after midnight. He went above and beyond to help us out. I stayed in this place years ago under different management. There were buckets on the floors in the halls and in the pool room to catch dripping from the ceiling. The pool room was so cold at that time that it was unusable. It was nasty back then. I read in the reviews that it was under new management and thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did. This family is putting this place back together. Nice work! I'll stay with you again.

The hotel is in need of serious updates. It seems as though there is a numerous amount people using the hotel as an alternative living arrangement. The halls reeked with cigarette smoke and marijuana smoke. Although the room was supposed to be nonsmoking, smoke was coming into the room. The room was very noisy until well after midnight when the kids went to bed. There were "sleeping" security guards at all entrances. The check in staff was very nice. The breakfast in the morning was okay. We stayed only because the Hampton Inn nearby was sold out. Incidently we did stay at a Best Western Plus a couple of nights later that was $9 more and a perfect experience. I would not recommend this hotel.

Stay away from this hotel. I reserved a double room more than a month before our trip. One night before we left and one room on return. Who wants to drive across 86 at midnight? Not me. One reason we picked this hotel was because of the shuttle which was 5 minutes late in the morning to take us to the airport. They advertise free parking but when you arrive they say it’s only free while you’re here and it will cost $25 bucks to leave my truck there all week. Upon our return I did as instructed and gathered our bags and were on the outside of the airport when I called for the shuttle. The girl on the phone said the guy would be there in 10 minutes. 25 minutes later I called back to ask where the hell he was and should I just get a taxi. Just then he pulled up. Doesn’t open the door for us, my mom is elderly. He threw the bags in and drove us back to the hotel with his phone on the whole time. He even films while driving. Very dangerous!! When we got to the hotel at 11:30pm the guy at the desk said he didn’t have any double rooms. I booked this way in advance. So I said, you know how to take a reservation but you don’t know how to hold it. He says, oh no I wouldn’t lie to you. So I said, fine, whatever we’ve been traveling all day I can sleep in a king bed with my mom. Well, then he puts us on the second floor with no elevator. He said he would help with our luggage. So I said, you’re going to help me hump these bags up there and back down in the am? That’s when he got on the phone and computer and another 15 minutes later they had a double room on the first floor!! So he did lie. He had the exact room I reserved but said he didn’t!! They try to keep a copy of your license in case they need to call the cops. If my numbers turn up on the dark web it will be because of them. This place is run by India Indian’s and they play that awful music in the lobby and breakfast room. The pictures make it appear that it’s a nice hotel. It’s not!! The sheets were clean and at midnight that’s all I cared about. Avoid this hotel even for one night. It’s a dump and needs many many updates throughout the whole place. I should’ve stayed at The Courtyard.

Stay clear! Worse experience in my life. Should be condemned. We stayed here a few years ago and it was great. We wanted a place to park & fly out in the morning. Total dump. Basically a homeless shelter. Foreign migrants are living there. Hotel room doors and windows decorated for the holidays, kids in pajamas riding bikes and toys all over the pool areas and they were running amuck screaming and yelling all hours of the night, security guards at every entrance, pungent smells of god knows what and of people cooking in their rooms, groups of people fixing cars in the parking lot, rooms are filthy with black mold. Did not sleep because of the noise and feeling unsafe. The name should be changed from Sure Stay to Stay Away!
