Easy enough to stay here as a temp but long term wouldn't be good. Especially if you need your mail/packages delivered. It all goes thru office and they have separate it and put it away. First you have to hope they are open to receive it from the carriers and then hope they are open to get from them. They leave the office anytime for long periods of time and you may not receive your mail for days. Took 4 days off for xmas and new years. Rooms are okay but very poor lighting. Hot plate for cooking. Hallways always smell and they try covering it up with sprays instead of carpet cleaning them.

Since this place has opened up to serve as a apartment it has really went down hill. It seams they now let all the trailer park trash from the local area stay here. Kids running up and down the halls at night screaming, people playing there music very loud and dogs barking all hours of the night. People smoking in the rooms and trying to get the smoke to exit out the window. For those who work long odd shifts this is NOT the place to stay. You will not get any sleep!!!

Had I known before what I know now about the place, I would have stayed elsewhere. Perhaps the worst aspect about the place is the noise. So much noise. Most of it probably coming from your next door neighbor. Thin walls & and a side door are all that rest between you & the next resident. You can literally hear everything from a sneeze to a cough next door, & they can probably hear the same from you. I was lucky enough to be placed beside the screaming child & his mother. Never have I heard neighbors so loud as I have here with walls so thin. It would probably be pointless to ask to be moved, as the other residents in the building also seem to be pretty loud & disrespectful. There's always a dog barking, music blasting, or loud arguing coming from the other rooms. You'll probably occasionally be awoken by the weird clicks & noises from the fridge, the heater, the upstairs neighbor, a car alarm outside, etc. The place isn't in a very good neighborhood, so multiple car alarms have gone off, my very own included (nothing was broken or stolen). Then there's the Internet. I'm going on three days now without access, & am having to type this on my phone as you read. Don't plan on getting important Internet stuff done here, because it's not happening. You're better off going to a coffee shop or someone's house to get it done. I've since put in an early termination notice, which made the manager at the front desk rude & hostile. If you ever have to deal with James at the front desk, ask if there's someone else that can help you. I also requested two very minor maintenance issues over two weeks ago which I have yet to hear back about.

We stayed there for a month with a production company and we can not express how much we loved one particular staff member Haley. She always went out of her way to help us with anything and was great for questions and concerns we had!! Even when there was a problem, she made sure do do everything she could to make our stay better! (And always went out of her way!). Our son loved her and she always was super friendly to him also!! Because of her, we recommend people to your hotel all the time!! Haley is the best!

This may be the most wonderful and aggravating hotel I have ever been to. I'll begin with the bad. My wife and I arrived in Albuquerque for Balloon Fiesta right before it began. We were picked up via hotel shuttle (good) and checked in promptly. Our room was interestingly decorated... It was as though retro green was a good thing again. However the room was clean (good). We woke up early around four am the next morning and was taken to a park and ride by the same girl whom had picked us up the night prior... Our issues became more prominent when we returned. We were picked up from the park and ride by a young man named Daniel or "Dan". He seemed absolutely delightful and my wife took a liking to him. However, when we returned to the hotel I noticed how he seemed to be expected to be tipped... Like a cabby. I felt this highly inappropriate as did my wife. (bad) We went to our room to nap and later came down to see the same girl who had been there early in the morning and the night prior. My wife asked for a recommendation for food as we were a bit peckish. The girl later identified as Hailee gave us many dining options. We asked if the shuttle was available and after calling the driver several times but receiving his answering machine she offered to call us a cab. She profusely apologised for the inconvenience and asked what she would do to make our trip more pleasant. The next day we shuffled down to have breakfast (bad), which consisted of cold and microwavable foods and a lone waffle maker. The entire breakfast room was a mess and completely unsanitary. We met with Hailee again who shuttled us to the park and ride again for balloon fiesta. She had printed off some "fun facts" about Albuquerque and balloon fiesta (good). We checked out later that day to return home. A couple days later there was confusion about the charges on the card so my wife called in to inquire. Dan had answered and was utterly unhelpful, he even hung up on my wife... TWICE! Irritated my wife and I took a break from calling. We called back a couple hours later and found ourselves speaking to Hailee. She apologised for the inconvenience yet again and quickly answered our questions. If we ever decide to revisit University Village it will be because of the kindness we received with the staff. All were kind and very good about meeting our needs. The service received from Hailee was bar none above and beyond. My wife and I are hopeful to return, as long as we don't get hung up on trying to make a reservation.
