The only nice thing I can say is the guy at the front desk wasn't terrible. It was downhill from there. The room was small, dirty and dated. There were sketchy characters in the parking lot at all hours. The bed was really uncomfortable. The location was not good and difficult to access. Was glad to leave there for sure.

Where do I begin. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot someone was screaming out the 3rd floor telling someone to go **** themselves. Walking into the motel quite literally was a treasure. Never in my entire life did I expect to walk into 2 doors covered in lexan. Not glass in the doors but Lexan held in with self tappers. Not only that, but the doors were just barely hanging on. After checking in and given room keys, and ignoring the Giant crate sitting in the middle of the hall, we approached the elevator. And oh my was I surprised to see a bullet hole in the door. Upon entering this elevator wow was I greeted by a smell. I would describe it as urine masked with a hint of vanilla. The Graffiti on the door was of the highest quality, and the creak the elevator made as we approached the second floor reassured me that this couldn't get worse. And then the doors opened. I was made more assured that this location was high quality by the bullet proof glass in the elevator hallway. Venturing to our room the smell could only be described as a hospital and wow. Opening the room door we were greeted by a light switch that didn't work nor had any idea what it actually did. After wandering in the dark we found another light switch that I can only describe as the lighting of a horror film. Both lights flickered until finally one stayed lit. The plugs for the outlets and USB chargers did not work whatsoever. I needed to wash my hands and as I turned the sink on I was greeted by a fountain of water soaking me. The toilet was well used as well came with a toilet side bottle opener. Continuing with this Oasis in the New Mexico desert. Being really tired (after driving 13 hours and being up for another 4) we tried to sleep unaware of the horrors this room would reveal in the sunlight. Approximately an hour after we were trying to sleep I was awoken by a screaming child. Later in the night I was once more awoken by someone screaming I will ******* kill you and someone running up and down the hallway. The door latch was unsecure. I went to the door to look and the hallway was pitch black as the lights were off for some reason. I did not sleep anymore after that. I refused to get under the covers and upon daylight I was glad of my decision. Blood stains and burn marks along with other unmentionable sights greeted me. Upon seeing that it was time to leave. If you were looking for a great horror themed Motel, I would highly recommend this Motel 6. I am traumatized, and have never in my entire life ever stayed in a Motel 6 that was this bad. And the screaming in the night and running up and down the hallways is something I will need therapy for. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

Stayed here for the ABQ balloon festival. Walked to the festival to avoid traffic jams / rideshare surge pricing. After you carefully navigate the dirt path adjacent to the frontage road, the rest of the walk is about 30 minutes each way on sidewalks with crosswalks at intersections. Front desk staff gave me several valuable tips about attending the festival. They were very friendly and there was always someone at the desk or nearby. Facility is nice - lobby is open space adjacent to rooms and elevator. Coffee / hot water is available all day. Rooms have toiletries (shampoo / conditioner). Daily housekeeping was provided. It's accessible by public transportation, though it's a long 1-mile walk. There is multiple fast-food restaurants within a 15–20-minute walk if you use the gate in the fence at the rear of the parking lot. Also, nearby Tin Can Alley has a variety of local fast-food options and a brewpub. Tin Can Alley has bar area seating and a variety of indoor / outdoor seats on two levels. This hotel is a clean, comfortable, affordable basic accommodation base for ABQ-area sightseeing.

When we got to the hotel, the first thing we noticed was all the trash on the floor. There were peanut shells in the elevator, and a plethora of other miscellaneous items on our floor, including dog feces. We came here on a school trip, and one of our groups staying here in a room said that the lights in the hotel room did not work.

They charge a $25 resort fee for a fleabag hotel! There are no ammenities, the carpet was mismatched dark brown, stained squares that were sticky. The room was updated, but the floor was uneven and the windows almost fell off of the frame when I tried to open them. The shower and sink were dirty. But here is the worst part- I started getting phone calls on the hotel phone at 2am, the calls were from a man, saying obscene things. After the second call, I hung up when the phone rang. I tried to call the front desk as I didn't want to leave my room (felt unsafe) and there was no answer. There were people partying in the halls throughout the night. I was so creeped out and scared from the calls and people in the hallways that I called my friend (staying in another room) and we left at 330am. I brought the issues to the night staff's attention when we left and he just shrugged. HORRIBLE.
