La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Albuquerque Midtown

Everything was going well until the morning of check out, which was Wednesday, March 26. We were about to go have breakfast downstairs and right outside our door there was a snake. We put a towel underneath our door to keep it from coming in our room. It took 2 hours for them to capture the snake. It was outside our room in the hallway. We could not go to the elevator because the snake was going back in forth in the hall. We overheard it was someone's pet and it had gotten out and the managers did not mention anything about it.

Seemed safe to park and stay. Room was very big and sheets were clean. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast was ok, except for egg and sausage substitutes. We had two small poodles that were both ten pounds or under charging $20.00 each which is a lot for us as budget minded travelers. We would stay again.

Location was convenient. The Hotel was clean, modern, and the rooms are large and roomy. The beds and pillows were comfortable. My only issue was that our room had a very strong chemical odor when we first walked in. When I contacted the front desk, they told me that the bathrooms had just been painted in several of the rooms and that was probably what the odor was. They were very apologetic and put put us on another floor with no hassle.

I would give this hotel zero, but you have to put at least one dot to write a review. My wife and I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years, mostly, because they allow pets. We stayed here in January of this year and ended up with bed bug bites on both of us. I wrote a review and all I got was a fob off that the hotel is privately owned and that Wyndham has no control over the standard of the property. Also, the grounds of the hotel are covered in dog feces everywhere. The clean up station was busted off the post, not that this is an excuse, however, you would expect the hotel to at least get it cleaned up and replace the cleanup station. Do not stay here!

Loocation good, hotel upgraded. INdoor pool a diappointment because it was very cold and the room was also cold. We couldn't stay in the water even moving with exercise. Room was spacious and nice. Breakfast was well attended and great. Attendant worked hard she needed a tip jar! La Quinta
