Extended Stay America Suites Albuquerque Airport

Checked in on Saturday (7/29/23) only to find blood on the walls and carpet and sheets, sheets covered in hair, no soap/shampoo in bathroom Freezer had drinks left in it, chairs had suspicious stains on them Hallway was covered in trash from two overflowing trash cans, empty food containers and misc trash were stacked in every hall corner Room also smelled moldy and had a odor of a gym bag Went to front desk and they said we were welcome to change the sheets ourselves or leave the hotel for the night After further discussion they offered to swap rooms, but each was dirtier than the next. Would not recommend **Updated to reflect that we were given the option to either clean the room ourselves or allowed to leave without a refund that night. We were left scrambling for accommodations near midnight as they claimed they could not clean the room**

Unfortunately this was the worst motel I’ve stayed. The toilet was plugged, no maintenance on duty I was offered plunger, I tried to plunge could not unplug. Poop on toilet seat, toilet bowl was dirty. The shower plug was dirty with hair and the floor was dirty as well as a previous guest purple towel was left in room. Despite the circumstances, the front desk clerk was as helpful as possible. He did find us another room which was a little better but still not as clean as you’d expect of a two star motel.

The receptionist, who turned out to be the manager, was incredibly rude and unhelpful, refusing to listen, answer questions or explain what he was doing. He had no idea whatsoever of customer service. In the room, the carpet had a patch of a crusty white substance on it and the seat of the chair was stained. The wifi did not work. I left. i had booked online and the web page had not explained that a deposit was required. All in all, a very unpleasant experience. I wodl definitely not recommend this place.

Stay the hell away another loser hotel that charges a 200$ deposit just in case your a meth head.I wish Sante Fe would get its airport in gear because the hotels in Albuquerque Airport are ghetto! If you need a hotel spend a little more or drive up early and skip hotel.

I made a reservation for 7 nights and was rudely kicked out on the 5th day because our room was already rented. I say rudely because apparently they had spoken to my boyfriend but my name was on the lease not his. When my boyfriend said we had to leave I disregarded knowing damn well I payed for 7 nights. Yet, manager and employee were both at the door saying how the police were already on their way. Oh yes. I got charged late check out fees! I made my reservation through the extended stay América app and payed in full upfront. I still haven’t gotten an answer much less an apology from any of the crew. Sucks considering how most of the clerks were always so nice and helpful. Oh and I remember asking for a room change because at first I had an accessible room, I asked for one that was not considering how I didn’t need that and I specifically said only if it will be the same price considering how I was on a very tight budget. The clerk was nice enough to help me find one and said “at no extra cost” :( I admit that hospitality, great. But i believe management did a very poor job handling my situation. Kicked me off the premises without further ado even though I showed my reservation and proof of payment.
