Hyatt Place Secaucus Meadowlands

The room and the staff were very accomodating and I very much enjoyed my stay. The room was nice, clean and inviting and the staff gave me help on locating restaurants that were nearby and also help with using the New Jersey Transit bus that took me over to New York City.

Pamela and the other front desk staff were very helpful and patient in answering questions about the area. Every staff member I encountered was professional and friendly. The room was very clean and had everything needed to enjoy a comfortable stay.

Generally found everything to ge fine... staff was very helpful... Lisa Platt was very helpful in getting my reservation set up as I only found out after the reservation/registration deadline that I would be able to attend the event. She helped me secure the best room rate.

We stayed here for two nights wanting to travel into New York City. The Desk staff were very helpful about using the busses and provided a copy of the schedule and detailed instructions. It was easy to get there. The room was very comfortable and I would stay there again. The reason for the one less star has to do with the food service. They claim to have a restaurant, but the desk staff did all the jobs, from making the food and drinks to serving it. I'm not sure who ordered the food, but they were out of many things listed on the menu. It was not edible when served and we went out to another place. Breakfast, on the other hand, was fine. There was a specific staff for that.

Really 3.5 stars. The location is ideal if you take the 320 bus to the Port Authority bus terminal in NYC. The bus stop and ticket kiosk is across from the hotel. Plus there is a covered walkway to a garage which is three stories and allows you to park for free! Very close to Harmon Meadows shopping. Room is clean with soft mattress. Biggest problems were the heating thermostat that seemed to work sporadically and kept the room feeling cold. Walls are thin so you can hear hallway conversations. Has breakfast which was buffet style with eggs, meat and pastries. We would stay again because of its location but hope the next room has better heating system.
