Candlewood Suites Secaucus Meadowlands an IHG Hotel

We had to go into New York on business and this hotel proved an excellent starting point. The hotel was very clean and appeared to have been recently refurbished. The room was very comfortable and except for a minor glitch with the TV was excellent. It can be a little difficult to find with the maze of roads in the area but it is well worth the trouble.

NEGATIVELY, A company that is global and has a large chain of hotels can afford to deceive, or rather rob customers. I booked a room from 11/7 to 11/12/2024 at Candlewood Suites Secaucus - Meadowlands on booking.com. But three days before my flight to America and check-in at the hotel, I had a difficult family situation and had to cancel my flight to America and check-in at the hotel. On 4.11, I wrote a message to the hotel with a request to cancel the reservation without penalty. I also tried to cancel the reservation through booking.com. The amount of the fine was only 168 dollars. No one answered me, and on 7.11 I received a message saying how you settled in and whether everything is fine with you. But the card was immediately charged $731, plus $250, plus $118, and the cancellation fee of $168. And they charged me a total of $1,267. And the cost that I had to pay for accommodation for the entire time of my stay was 899.97 dollars. In other words, they charged me an additional $368. I wrote again to the hotel administration and no one answered, but on 12.11. they also wrote to me to write a review about the hotel. Here I am writing a truthful review about how hotels, having access to your credit card, can rob you. I also contacted booking.com for support on the site where I made the reservation. They promised to return the funds. I'm waiting.

Stay away from this property this property manager doing fraud and charge your credit card without notifying you and when you call them they hang up and also they have lots of Roaches behind the fridge and near the beds..very bad and nasty hotel never again in my life to stay in this nasty place...

The front desk staff is friendly. The room was very spacious and clean. The other guests were quiet and respectful - never heard and riff raff or anything going on. The location is decent and it is close to the train station to get to NYC. Overall it's a great value and I highly recommend staying here.
