Hyatt Place Princeton

This is a property which appears to be in the midst of some refreshment. That said the staff is terrific! We did have a bit of a problem with our bathroom on our first night, and they responded immediately to relocate us. What more can you ask for? It was done responsibly and professionally. We were compensated with some Hyatt points for our inconvenience, moved to a room to match our original reservation, and even assisted with the move. The GM sought us to ensure we were satisfied. For the pricepoint, the rooms are very nicely sized with a good lay-out, the hotel is conveniently located in the Princeton area, offers a varied breakfast menu, a good housekeeping policy, and is near all sorts of community venues for shopping, eating, etc.

Hallway smelled very strongly of weed, so strong we smelled it in our room with our door closed. The area above the window had mold. Worst of all, another guest was given a key that was coded for our room. So during my wife’s shower while I was watching TV, someone came into our room (they were shocked as we were to find someone in there) with a key the front desk gave them.

They room was Very Clean and spacious. I liked the fact there was shampoo and Conditioner (Never got to use it though 😅). I would have loved if there was Microwave in the room. I wouldn't need to go lobby. After that it's a 10/10 Stay! Would recommend.

Poorly managed and maintained. There is no front desk to respond to phone calls. And overall, a horrible quality of sleep. Drugs smell was all over in the horrible elevators. Despite the rate discounts offered through a 3rd party, I would stay away from this location. Marriott has better properties in close proximity. Worth your peace of mind and overall experience.

Stay somewhere else. I should have known by the notification that the pool had been closed, that the rest of the property would be sub par. They need to go through everything and bring the quality of the beds, furniture, heater/air conditioner etc up to standards. Then train the staff and get the breakfast up to standards. The bed was terrible and the wind literally blew into the room from outside. Just ridiculous for about $165 a njght after fees. Unacceptable
