The Ocean Plaza

The Ocean Plaza Hotel was an excellent place to stay. The location is perfect, there are lots of porches and hangout areas, the staff is very friendly and the place is in great condition. Ocean Grove is very cool and interesting to walk around and the Stone Pony is just a 10-minute walk up the oceanfront. Love the fact that you can bring your dogs onto the beaches from 9/15-5/15 and that the boardwalk is not filled with tacky souvenir shops. My wife and I are not Jersey shore people but Ocean Grove/Asbury Park have a great vibe and walking up Ocean Ave to Deal led us to some jaw-dropping houses

Another wonderful return visit to the Ocean Plaza Hotel for a getaway at the tail end of winter (if available, the getaway package is a nice deal - lovely cheese plate, wine or sparkling cider/water, and generous vouchers for local restaurants). The rooms are clean and very comfortable, the breakfast superb - way above and beyond continental - everybody knows continental breakfast is not real breakfast. The weather cooperated for nice strolls down the boardwalk to Asbury Park, but honestly even if it had rained we would have been happy to hang at the Ocean Plaza. Already booked our next visit.

Nice comfortable place by the beach. Room was comfortable. It was unusually hot that day and they did have the air conditioning on, but then the temperature dropped 30° and they also had the heat on. A little more than I usually like the heat to be on, but we were able to cover up the vent and put on the fan. You do not have any control over the air conditioning or heat which is common for establishments like this. We were in room 3 which was lovely, but we did hear the people who are in the floor above us coming in about 3 AM in the morning to put it politely they were an energetic couple so they were up three times during the night. I am more sensitive to noise than most people. Would it deter me from staying here again? Absolutely not. The breakfast they served in the morning was good. You had a pretty good variety of things to choose from. It was a great day and I would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful inn and location! Breakfast was delicious - quiches, pastries, juice, coffee, fruit and more! Our room was very comfortable and the historic building had wonderful character! View from thw Stokes suite was gorgeous - we could see the green space out front and ocean!

The Ocean Plaza is a clean, pretty and comfortable place to stay. The town is fun and interesting and perfect for riding bikes. The breakfast was an added bonus! Close to the boardwalk and town of Ocean Grove. We would love to visit here again!!! : )
