Residence Inn by Marriott Mt. Laurel at Bishop's Gate

This place is terrible. I am a Marriott Lifetime Platinum member and this place, is the worst place to stay, by far. Access is terrible, front desk unfriendly, breakfast poor and ‘kitchen’ utensils non-existent. The straw that broke the camel’s back was that in a five night stay I had one evening of uninterrupted wifi and tv. Called the front desk and they told me ‘sorry, it does not work when it is cloudy outside’. Cloudy??? Really??? Go elsewhere if you need at least a third class a business hotel.

I must say that for a Marriott branded hotel the breakfast service here is sadly….abysmal!, Plastic knives and forks, paper plates….at a Marriott?? No stirrers for hot beverages, no pepper…. Yes, I said no pepper. Juice machine dispenses water instead of juice. At a. Breakfast service that is scheduled to 10 am they “ran out” of a breakfast item (French toast) before 9am. No teabags for hot tea. I guess we’re forced to drink coffee. The attendant when asked for silverware was sitting in the back room talking on a phone instead of tending to the service. In all the years I’ve traveled I’ve almost always chose Marriott but this place is causing me to rethink my choices.

Using the Marriot Bonvoy App, check-in was super easy. I even requested my room before the normal check-in time and it was ready when I arrived. Front desk staff couldn't have been more helpful and extremely pleasant. I didn't stay long enough to try their breakfast, so no comments there. Room was spacious and comfortable. From the short visit I had, I would definitely stay again if in the area.

If you value your things, don’t stay here. I had stuff stolen out of my room and they won’t take responsibility for it. Had an upcoming stay again for business and cancelled it to stay elsewhere. Btw, I stayed there for 6 days and they took my trash out only once, after having to beg them to multiple times. There’s supposed to refresh the rooms every other day, which they failed to.

Terrible customer assistance at the front desk. Reserved a two beds bedroom, but they gave me a one bed bedroom. Also, when calling the front desk to complain, nobody answer the phone for more than 10min. By the way, NO HOT SHOWERS.... and to think my company choose this for me... never ever going to stay here again. And will request my company to remove this hotel as indicated and preferred.
