Holly Hill Motel

I stayed in room 3 and was quite satisfied. I felt VERY SAFE & SECURE. I would stay again without a second thought. Well worth it for the budget-minded. The modestly sized room and bathroom were clean. The A/C & Heater wall unit is huge… A/C can get crazy cold. Recent paint, flooring, fixtures, roll window shade, sink, and furniture appear new. WiFi was acceptable. I much appreciated the compact fridge, microwave, and large TV. I was impressed with the two nightstands. Each had two electric outlets and two USBs– in addition to the multiple outlets around the room. There was a mini coffee maker, sturdy paper cups, creamer, sugar, and various kinds of coffee. Although economy quality, these were thoughtfully supplied: a packet of body cream, small bar of soap, and packet of shampoo. FYI, open the shampoo before you get your hands wet. Sufficient towels, washcloths, and three pillows. Thin fabric bedding. The towels could use some bleach to brighten them, but they were clean. The bed was a bit firm for me, yet I slept well. I wish they provided a blanket, as I was a bit cold. No clock, tissues, phone, or Gideon's Bible. If you are under 50, look that last one up! The motel is right near State Highway 36. I turned up the fan to keep out some noise. The other guests were decent and no problems. All seemed to have nicer vehicles than me, lol. PS: If guests smoking outside your room bother you, just respectfully ask them to go over to the grassy area.

The motel was ok but a but disappointed in the staff,the girls at the desk were a bit snippy to me,I'll go elsewhere,a little disappointed too in there's no soap,cips,the water was cold in the shower and I don't enjoy talking to the front desk too much

Rule number 1: Don't book anything even you're drinking. Rule number 2: ALWAYS check reviews. See rule number 1. We reserved our rooms 6 months in advance to attend a local concert. We chose this place because it was close to the venue, the pictures were relatively deceptively pretty, and the rates were fair. While we were allowed to inspect our rooms prior to paying, you could smell cigarette and pot smoke in the rooms and our shower curtain had mold on it. The rooms looked like they have never been updated. Ever. Since it was too late to cancel the reservation without penalty and no other local hotels or motels had vacancy, we found ourselves in a crappy situation; Either suck it up and stay or drive 2 and a half hours back home after the show. After returning from the show and another very brief inspection, we decided to take the loss and drive home. Nothing like being on the move for 15 hours straight. The good news is the show was incredible... Unless something changes with this place, spend the extra money and stay at a reputable place. Oh. And read the rules above again.

I stayed in room 4 omg never again drains didn't go down sink or shower so dirty and stinky room was just a mess looks like a 3 yr old did the work. I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemies they don't even deserve such a discussing place.

Before I visited the Holly Hill Hotel, I read a review from a former visiter, which had the title, “Bring your cleaning supplies”. So, I did. I’m glad I did, because I had to use them. Therefore, I am repeating that reviewer’s title. The bed was comfortable and sheets were clean, the toilet shower and sink were clean. Everything else in the room was not clean. It’s a good thing that they do not have rugs on the floor. We were able to clean the floor, it was filthy. We did not see any bugs. There was a scent of smoking in the room. It appears the majority of occupants have lived there for years. If you bring your cleaning supplies, you’re willing to clean, and want a comfortable bed, I suggest room 20.
