Motel 6 Brunswick GA

Motel 6 never fails to underwhelm. Just when I think I have found the worst one in the country, someone at corporate, says, "Hold my beer and watch this!" The plus: We were traveling soon after Hurrican Helene and some hotels were overbooked or did not have electricity. This Motel 6 was open and had vacancies. Check-in staff were a bit surly, but were efficient and got us checked in quickly. Our room was clean and the AC on and functioning. Easy access to the interstate, gas and various eating establishments. TV worked well with a great selection of channels. The negatives: The interior of the room was shabby to say the least. Poor and amateurish maintenance and repairs were evident throughout the room. Cheap chairs with rusty legs. Burn holes in the duvet and cheap/stained towels and washcloths. Honestly, I have stayed in establishments in the third world with more pride in their facilities. I would stay here again, only as a last resort.

Stay away. Filthiest place I've ever seen. The hookers don't seem to mind, though. Roaches, mouse droppings, semen stains--this place has it all. We stayed here because of the positive reviews, and the fact that they allowed pets.On the brighter side, the counter guy who spoke little English refunded our money.

Custer's customer service was exceptional friendly very affordable price rooms immaculate with a view to die for the most comfortable bed I've ever set in a very restful and peaceful and relaxing and unforgettable vacation for my wife and I and two dogs

We arrived at this motel very tired & did not check the reviews. Lesson learned. I will say that the gentleman at the front desk was very pleasant & funny but that’s all the positive things I have to say. The beds were uncomfortable. The pillows were lumpy. The bathtub was filthy, as was the bathroom door so obviously had not been cleaned. There were people talking loudly outside our door throughout the night. The room was cold & the heater did not work. No phone in the room & no hair dryer. To top it off there is a ledge leading off the sidewalk that I did not see in the dark so I tripped on it, hurt my knees & cut my ankle. I am 72 years old so this could have ended a lot worse. That ledge should be painted so that it is visible. We feel that the room was very overpriced ($86.39 U.S. with tax or $113.26 CDN.) for what we got. No breakfast but they did offer coffee between 6 a.m. & 9:30 a.m. Would not recommend.
