Towneplace Suites Cranbury South Brunswick

This hotel was great, very clean amazing staff and overall experience was excellent. Our room was clean and very nice. The employees were more than helpful and extremely pleasant. Marybel the manager runs a wonderful hotel. Also the location was very nice.

I don’t understand how anyone’s giving us place a good review. The housekeeping staff is spraying toxic fragrance chemicals of some kind into the air conditioner units. The smell is so strong it burned our eyes and throat. I was staying there to see family with my sister. She couldn’t even stay in the room and left to go sleep on my parents sofa. My wife and I had a sore throat for two days after staying here from the smell. The housekeeping staff acknowledged that they are spraying these chemicals into the filters of the air conditioner units. When we asked to be moved to different room, they told us the hotel was full, even though people were still checking in for hours after. Front desk told us they couldn’t move us to a smaller room because people would object to being upgraded to the two room suite. What? You have to have no sensitivity whatsoever to chemicals to not be affected by this. We were also told by one of the managers that we should’ve requested a fragrance free room, even though we’ve never had fragrance issues or sensitivities in the past. This isn’t a matter of, a room freshener. This was like being in a car with pinecone fresheners that are fully exposed and having the windows closed on a hot day. It was awful.

Stayed for just one night so that my daughter would be perched nearby for her SAT exam at Hightstown HS. Staff was attentive and friendly with each interaction and provided recommendations for nearby dining. Housekeeping staff gets major kudos for keeping rooms spotless. Room layout with full size dining table, galley kitchen with full size refrigerator and good-sized bathroom was a huge plus. Room design was very open in our 2 queen bed room. Never felt cramped. Gym provided adequate cardio machines and weights too. Didn't use the pool, but again, looked very well maintained. Really thought Hightstown was a place worth revisiting, so I at least know where I will stay overnight now. Attention to detail is everything and we felt at home, away from home. Bravo!
