Scottish Inns and Suites Bordentown NJ

Horrible place. Renters openly smoking dope. Sketchy tenants long term. Drinking in front of children and smoking dope. Filthy rooms. Rude owner. Forced to leave one night sooner I paid for because a long term renter tried to attack me and threatened me about waiting at my door in the next morning to attack me and he threatened to vandalize my car. Plus they rent space to loud tractor trailers who park there. A filthy dangerous dump.

A room at the Scottish Inn seemed nice enough at first: small, clean room, no odor, working A/C, work desk and two chairs, Large flat screen With many Direct Tv channels, microwave, comfortable king-sized bed, medium fridge, hot and cold running water, good shower water pressure. Even though at checkin there was a sign “no refunds -Sorry” So I settle in, sitting on the bed near the fridge Then, the bugs came out. First, the dead roach in the fridge, then over the course of the evening a dozen bugs, mostly small cockroaches and a bed bug in the bathroom. I had read some reviews and brought bug spray with me. But you’d think if they’d just “bug bomb” now and then they maybe wouldn’t have this problem? At least there weren’t bed bugs in the bed, didn’t wake up to anything really disgusting like bugs crawling on me.

This Motel is on a very Main Road and Close to Everything, Only 25 Mins from the Six Flags Gates. There are other Motels in the area but this is the Cheapest at $59/Night Online BUT – You pay for what you get……. Owner is SUPER Friendly, looks like he lives on-site in back room, Rooms are OK! Mini Fridge, Microwave, TV, Hard Wood Floors, etc. Bathroom TERRIBLE, Stains, Holes in Wall and saw 2 “Bugs” final Night, plus my key wouldn’t work 2nd Night So had to go back to Office & wait instead of going to bed after a long exhausting day. No Maid Service, so No Beds Made or New Towels, so No Tip Left or Needed. Walls paper thin, can hear “EVERYTHING” OK for Adults, Don’t recommend with small Children… Again, You PAY for what you GET! & good if on a tight budget & only there to Sleep!

This place is aweful. The bathrooms are antiquated. The water supply is RAW WELL WATER and wreaks of sulphur and loaded with red iron and smells like a sewage treatment plant. Took a very quick shower (quick because of the smell) and for the rest of the day, my skin smelled like IRON! Gross!

Reading the reviews, they seemed mostly negative. I had to be in town that weekend for one night and for some reason, lodging was hard to get on this particular weekend. Because of this, I settled for Motel 6. Well, I didn't have any problems whatsoever. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, water hot, tv, microwave and fridge in working condition. No problems whatsoever. This is a very basic hotel but it fit my needs perfectly. I paid 48 dollars for the night and it was well worth it. If I wanted fancy, I would have gone some place and paid more than double what I paid here, but I was only going to spend one night and it was good. I wouldn't mind coming back at all.
