Disappointing Christmas Stay at Sharron Hotel I had high hopes for spending Christmas at the Sharron Hotel, but my experience was far from what was advertised. First, they failed to inform us about an additional $50 pet fee, which was not mentioned when we booked. Transparency about fees is crucial, and this was an unpleasant surprise upon arrival. The hotel also advertised āfree breakfast,ā which turned out to be misleading. What they actually offer is a $15 voucher toward breakfast at their cafĆ©, but the prices are so inflated that you end up paying out of pocket anyway. This is not what I consider a āfree breakfast,ā and it felt like false advertising. To make matters worse, the hotel seemed to be on a holiday shutdown during our stay, making it difficult to find food. Itās disappointing to book a stay expecting a festive and convenient holiday experience only to feel neglected. When I asked about the situation, I was told the hotel is primarily āa business hotel.ā If thatās the case, they should reconsider promoting themselves as a holiday-friendly destination. The hotelās lack of clarity and preparation during the holiday season left us feeling frustrated. What should have been a wonderful Christmas getaway turned into an overpriced and underwhelming experience. I wouldnāt recommend this hotel for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or expecting what was advertised.

The first day, after unpacking, in our adjoining rooms, there was a rodent (rat/mouse) not sure because it ran under the bed. Went to front desk, told we would receive a full refund for both rooms and were given rooms on another floor, but could not give us adjoining rooms. These rooms were also disgusting. There was feces left in the toilet, sheets were wrinkled, soiled and pillow cases were ripped. Coffee maker was being used for tea and was spitting out brown water with black chips. After 3 coffee makers were brought with all spitting out filth, we were given brand new coffee makers. We were told room service would change the sheets, this did not happen. The carpet was filthy, the dust was so bad we wrote āclean meā in it. The bathrooms were filthy and cleaned by my partner. The bathroom sinks were not able to adjust and could only get freezing cold or burning hot, in both rooms. The hotel manager that promised to refund the rooms was a women with green hair and several inches of roots and was not dressed professionally, only say this because itās proof we spoke to her and I even gave her the name of a color depositing shampoo to use to be able to go longer in between salon visits. We contacted corporate and they did nothing to help, asked for corporate supervisors, and they did nothing to help, contacted their supervisor and was told itās up to the hotel manager to offer a refund. The hotel manager lied and never gave the refund. I didnāt record because I didnāt believe I would have to and do not know if itās legal to do so in NJ. The corporate manager Mallory agreed and said she would not stay in these conditions and would demand money back but only offered 30,000 points which would not be enough for one night at most places, let alone 3 nights. This place is a dump, the manager is a liar and if you have a Marriott Bonvoy account, consider switching to Hilton - at least they donāt have dumps. I was given a case number and assured this would be taken care of in the form of a full refund for the 4 rooms, from the first person I spoke to in corporate and now Iām being lied to again. This hotel has so many health violations it needs to be shut down. Corporate greed at itās best. Pay for a 4 star hotel and receive less than 1 star accommodations. Stay anywhere but here while in Atlantic City - this Sheraton is filthy.

I reserved my room with Expedia, and the rate was supposed to be $199. When I got to the hotel, the attendant was pleasant and asked for my confirmation number, which I gave to him. He said it was an invalid confirmation number, and the charge was actually $234. The hotel had decent reviews online, and we wanted to be early for our concert, so we stayed in spite of the last minute increase in the room rate. Ok.....so we go to our room, which was dated and had a few holes in the sheets. We sprayed Lysol and used Clorox disinfectant wipes everywhere before getting settled. There is parking across the street, and the rate is reasonable ($20), but the parking is tattered with big holes in parts of the ceiling. It does not feel safe, so if you are travelling, be sure you do not travel alone. Someone from the hotel emailed me that they hope I choose to stay at the Sheraton again, but I would just rather pay more next time for a quality, clean room in a safe environment. It's just a $35 difference Sheraton. I would like the money returned.

4-star hotel? I would liken this motel (motel actually because of quality) to a motel-6, but then I would feel bad for insulting motel-6. When I called and booked because another reservation at another hotel fell through, it cost me $189/night. I was there for a conference last week, and this was the last year the conference will be in AC. I wouldn't be surprised if the run down nature of the Sheraton has something to do with the conference pulling out of Atlantic City. The staff at the front desk was rude. Our initial room was dirty (sticky surfaces, debris all over the floor, the lights flickered, the bed sheets were torn). Also, the TV didn't work. When we called down to the front desk to request a new room, the IMMEDIATE response was "there are no more rooms!". After I questioned that response, I was put on hold for a minute. I was then told to come down to the lobby. Shockingly, they were able to find another room! Instead of apologizing for the dirty room and having good customer service and bring the other room keys UP to us, we were told to come down to the lobby. While receiving the new keys, the woman who initially checked us in was full of scoffs and glares from the other side of the desk. Our second room was MARGINALLY better. There was still crap all over the floor, the lights flickered, and the bed sheets were torn. At least the TV worked. The state of the hotel is just sad overall. The wallpaper in the room as well as in the elevator lobby was pealing off the wall. This hotel was built in the 1990s, and it looks like it has not seen an iota of an update or repair ever since. I'm sorry to Motel-Six for comparing you to this motel labeled as a four-star hotel. It's really not fair to Motel-Six.
