Would like to thank Rick for handling our stay. I stayed there for about 90 days and was totally satisfied. Housekeeping was amazing. Christy cleaned my room and was amazed how she left my room. Maintenance tech Harry keep my room in complete working order. He even changed my stove out. Will stay here again if I am ever in the area again. GREAT JOB.

Horribly trained staff. Horrible customer service. They have a sign on their desk stating that they accept debit cards for incidental holds at check in, but then refuse to let you use a debit card. I stayed there the previous night and gave them my debit card to put on file with 0 issues. The room was already paid for and now I have to go through the hassle of getting a refund when it was a non-refundable reservation. General Manager was on vacation, but another employee answered her phone and was virtually useless other than telling me that the debit card policy fluctuates based on what the customer looks like. What a joke.

We stay here often. This is the first time we requested a room with fold out sofa bed. There is NO MATTRESS. The front desk said they are futons. There is a wooden plank with a thick plastic cover. They offer an extra blanket to put on before the sheet. Unacceptable

Today I had one of the strangest and most insulting experiences of my life. The Assistant General Manager of TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Manchester NH ordered my wife and me to vacate the hotel because our presence made a hotel employee uncomfortable. I received a telephone call from the assistant general manager, Juliana, about 10:30 this morning. She said that an employee had complained that us being at the hotel made the employee feel uncomfortable. I asked Juliana what we supposedly had done, because I couldn't imagine what anyone would have complained about. Juliana said that she had been instructed by the General Manager, Jessica, to not tell me any more and said that if she told me any more, that it could disclose the employee's identity. I told Juliana that all of our interactions with hotel staff had been positive. I pointed out to Juliana that my wife and I are serving as missionaries for our church; we both wear name tags identifying our church and we're generally dressed in Sunday dress attire. I asked her if that's what made the employee uncomfortable. She again said that she could not tell me any additional information, and reiterated that we had to leave the hotel - and we had until 2:00 PM to vacate. I asked who made this decision and she told me that it was a joint decision with Jessica, her boss. Juliana said that if I wanted, she would have Jessica call me. Jessica called just after 2:00 PM (after we had vacated). I again asked for information of what we had done that had made an employee uncomfortable and Jessica said that she couldn't tell me. I told Jessica that I am concerned that our religion or us being missionaries was the problem. She responded that religion has nothing to do with why she demanded that we leave. She did however let us know that it was a female employee that made the complaint. I explained to Jessica that since we had already left the hotel, that we would appreciate understanding what had made the employee uncomfortable, because we never intended to offend or make anyone uncomfortable. So if she would tell us, we could avoid offending people in the future. Jessica then told me that she doesn't know what it was that made the employee uncomfortable, and said that she'd have to talk with her (the employee) again. I asked Jessica how she can be certain that my religion is not the issue, if she doesn't even know what caused the discomfort. Jessica replied, "I'll call you back if I get additional information." She then quickly disconnected. The entire situation feels very bizarre. We found a nearby Hilton facility that is actually a much nicer property. I could have refused to vacate and I think the general manager would've had a difficult time pressing the issue. But it would have been a hostile situation that I didn't want to be in. Instead, I'm posting my experience - I hope other people avoid staying at TownePlace Suites in Manchester NH. I hope Jessica and Juliana receive additional training before they damage Marriott's reputation further. Perhaps they should have a career reset and start over in housekeeping. I contacted Marriott's customer service department and filed a complaint; the fellow I spoke with sounded shocked and embarrassed by the entire event. As I said at the beginning - strange and insulting.

The rooms were extremely clean and accommodating. The hotel was not very busy; but we still felt an element of this place being used as a transitional home base. There were several cars that seemed to serve as temporary homes. We had a strong weed smell coming into our bathroom most nights. Lots of smoking outside of the building in various doors and locations. This seemed to go on throughout the day and night. We will not stay again.
