Skyline Hotel & Casino

We stayed here for one night. We booked a king room. When we arrived there were no king rooms available so we paid extra to upgrade to an executive king room. The room was on the 3rd floor. It was worth the upgrade as it was a big room with a fireplace and a huge bed. The room faced the carpark so it was fairly quiet. The bathroom was big and had a double sink. The television is huge the biggest we have ever seen in a hotel room. It was a handy location for the airport if the hotels on the Las Vegas strip are too expensive. We would stay here again.

Booked this as a one night place to rest on a road trip. The good: Clean room, front desk staff availability, ample parking, quiet, fair room rate, no resort fees. Our schedule didn’t allow us to try restaurant/food but multiple specials looked good. Could be better: Neighborhood a bit sketchy so parked as close to hotel as possible and car was fine overnight. They do secure and monitor front entry at night. No decent pet area/grass. For a $35 pet fee this should be improved. Overall this place was OK for our one night stay but we would shop the area when coming through again for a better location.

I love the decor. The room is a nice size. The tv tint is purple. The bed is awful and the biggest reason for a low review. I can feel boards and springs. It’s painful. The bed only has a sheet and blanket so if your by the ac you may get cold trying to cool the other side of the room and the hotel does not have extra blankets.

We went to the restaurant at the casino for the prime rib special. For $13.95 we weren’t really expecting a lot. Well we were very surprised. It was a nice serving and seasoned just right. Our orders came in a reasonable time and everything was as we ordered it. The staff was friendly , courteous and attentive. Restaurant was old, but clean and it smelled fine - not smokey. We will definitely go back.

though the room was comfortable and the breakfast deal and service were good, the post-stay service was sadly lacking. check-in was straightforward and easy. room was spacious and had seating for both of us in chairs (hate having to perch on the bed:). bathroom was well stocked with soaps, shampoo, and lotion on wall. but, the lotion did eject rather forcefully onto my shirt. casino was enjoyable (though no bonus for joining the club program) including a few coin machines (love that old-time feeling!). the bad experience post-stay (and the reason for loss of stars in rating) was that we left behind a rare charger (will cost $70 to replace) for specialized health equipment. we called the same day as our checkout and were told that housekeeping was gone for the day. the clerk took our contact info (including email address) and it has now been a week with NO contact made. do they simply NOT CARE about repeat business and cultivating customer loyalty? what other inference is there to draw?!?
