Holiday Inn Express & Suites South Lincoln an IHG Hotel

Stayed for three nights to bicycle the city. Great location, quiet, safe, low traffic, easy parking and easy access to the biking paths. Haven’t stayed in an express for awhile and was amazed by the modern spacious room. The room had many convenient features, loved the usb charging station, coat hooks on the wall, soap dispensers in the shower, great lighting and plenty of storage areas. The pillow top bed was comfortable, just right, sheets were soft. Good water pressure in the large walk-in shower. We didn’t get around to using the pool this trip, but we did check out the facility, clean and good temperature. The best was the large breakfast selection to fuel our biking day. The warm cinnamon rolls were great and waffle maker seemed popular with the kids. The breakfast staff was attentive, and kept the food well stocked and the dining area clean. Would recommend if you want a quiet comfort stay. Not going to stay downtown any more too noisy, stressful and expensive parking and restaurants. Check out Fireworks and Lazlo’s restaurants just north of this hotel. Also grabbed sushi at Sam’s Club across the street for dinner in the room after biking.

I was highly impressed with this hotel. Not only was the service impeccable but the rooms and all other facilities were very clean and well maintained. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family in the future! 10/10 indeed!

I am shocked at how bad this hotel is. How can it be called a HIX? The entire hotel was dirty through and through, run down, and the front desk clerk made sure we understood how inconvenienced he was to pull away from his phone to check us in. The bathroom was a thing of beauty with stains, mold, sticky floors, empty shampoo/conditioner bottles, and a tp roll hanger that was hanging by one screw, barely. The TV didn't work at all. The closed window leaked water all over the floor during the night. I would avoid this place like the plague.

This is a newer place that we found was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was betty than at other places, but the eating area was very small for a hotel of this size. The front desk lady was friendly and helpful when we discovered that our reservation got lost. Luckily, the hotel was not busy. Our only concern was the breakfast lady who seemed interested in watching us eat, and sitting in a chair that could be used for guests eating breakfast.

Booking online was a hassle but after gaining a reservation at the IHG my experience changed. The receptionist Leslie was extremely professional and kind. You could tell she definitely valued her job and cared about the customers experience. She was extremely helpful in resolving an issue with the reservation. I plan on visiting Nebraska in the future and will definitely be going back to This particular IHG.
