Holiday Inn Express Greensboro I 40 at Wendover an Ihg Hotel

I specifically reserved a two queen suite months ago for a family trip. I checked in online and I was notified that my room was ready hours before I arrived. When we got up to the room we were given keys to, there was already someone in the room. The front desk employee then, without saying anything more, gives us keys to another room, only to find out that this was just a standard room, not a suite like I reserved. I then returned to the front desk for a third time, only to be told that there was a day shift mistake and the room I booked is not available. No attempt was made to find equal accommodations at another hotel for me, just a shrug and a room that is a downgrade from what I booked. Unfortunately this also happened to me a few years ago at another Holiday inn. DO NOT STAY AT ANY HOLIDAY INNS, THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR RESERVATIONS.

Tried to check in early, as a Diamond Elite member who stays at in a hotel weekly for work would look out for me as that is a bonus anyways for being one, but no I wasn’t allowed unless I was a truck driver or had an LLC. I went to my email and cancelled the reservation but they said I only done it for 1 room. I went up one exit to another HIE and was checked right in. I was charged $184 anyways. I called the hotel they didn’t try to help and I sent an email that never got a reply. Stay at the HIE by the coliseum it was great and cheaper!!

We just had a quick stay and everything was great. It was updated, very clean, comfortable bed and had great amenities. Customer service was nice and quick. Breakfast looked good, but we were in a hurry and it was busy at breakfast. Would definitely stay here again!

Rude staff. If you’re looking for a place to stay where the front desk is downright mean and nasty to customers. Consistency of multiple staff members to be rude and inhospitable is the defining feature of this hotel. This is the place to stay. Otherwise stay away from this awful place.

Wonderful place to stay when visiting Greensboro. It is easily accessible from I-40, near stores and restaurants. The rooms are clean. The breakfast is good, and all of the staff are courteous- especially Nadine and Joyce! It is the only place we stay when visiting the area.
