The Westin Minneapolis

I stayed here for one night. If I hadn't only paid $57 through Priceline, I would have been very upset. When I arrived, the parking garage was closed so I had to park in a public lot at event pricing. The building has lots of plastic draping with big "stop work" orders from the city stating that permits were not issued for the construction. I finally found the reception desk and checked in, and the staff was friendly. The room was clean, but some of the lightbulbs were burned out and there was no hot water in the shower. I alerted staff about the water and was told that it was a known problem. The A/C was on, set to 65 degrees, but it never got below 77 degrees in the room. In the morning when I checked out, a man staffer was yelling at a woman staffing the reception desk about cell phone usage. He did not stop yelling when I was checking out. She just dealt with me as if he wasn't yelling at her, which makes me think it happens a lot. It was an unsettling experience.

Great service especially from Jabby. I was greeted with kindness and excitement and was provided with a Starbucks gift card due to no restaurant from the renovation. Overall, a very pleasant stay and great location downtown. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect location to walk to Target Center and nice hotel! Staff very accommodating to get our group of 12 all on same floor! Parking in ramp was $40 for night little pricey but understand it when you’re downtown. Otherwise we enjoyed everything about this hotel.

I can tell the hotel had a slow afternoon, so it made me checking in easier and smoother. My room was clean and good for the price, they are in the middle of renovating so hopefully the outdated aesthetic will be gone… The starbucks was amazing, chatted with two girls up there; I never got their names but it was a tall black girl and shorter girl with short hair, those two were lovely and gave excellent customer service!

Room wasn’t clean. Duvet had stains. No body wash in shower. A prior guest had used the robe to wipe their butt and it was hanging in the closet with poop on it. Completely disgusted. This was not a cheap place to stay and I had high hopes for it. Won’t be back.
