Worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. The GM, Ana Bell, did not address our room issues for 3 hours. She was rude, loud and so aggressive. She is holding us hostage on a smoking fee which is totally false. Watch your credit card information. I got charged $315 for miscellaneous revenueâŚ.smoking fee among those charges. ABSURD. Did not smoke. She is being vindictive. HELP.

Extremely unprofessional and unresponsive staff - wedding couples, beware! I have been trying to set up a room block at this hotel for six months and have been met with nothing but excuses and unhelpful staff. Every time I called, I was told that the manager was âbusyâ and that only she could handle room blocks. I left my contact information multiple times but never received a call back. When I finally got her email, she never responded. I even submitted an online request and still heard nothing. When I kept following up, staff members would say she had just âstepped outâ or was âbusy cleaning rooms.â One employee even admitted that the hotel is poorly managed, which explains the lack of communication. If youâre planning a wedding or group event, save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere. Weâll be booking our room blocks in Clarksburg instead!

It is a good thing that our room was clean and comfortable because everything else was a complete disaster. The hotel was no more than half full, but somehow the hotel put us in a room that was on the other side of the elevators and shared a wall with the ice machine. Glad to be members of Hilton Honors and know we are so highly valued. But wait, thereâs more. The breakfast operation reflected great incompetence and lack of care or attention. When I popped open the cover on the hot food, there was just one greasy, thin, and fatty slice of bacon and very little scrambled eggs, which were dry and burned on the edges. I did not see anyone from the kitchen checking the breakfast buffet area for quite some time. Later, I realized why. The food service person was having a good gum flap with the lady at the front desk. Only after I asked about food service at the front desk did that person walk back to the kitchen. I could go on about food service, but there are other matters to cover. The lady at the front desk was on the phone having a personal conversation for about 15 minutes, obvious to anything going on at the hotel. It was apparent that she not interested in helping guests. My wife brought our room assignment up with the manager, who made weak excuses for our bad room location, including a commentary about how as Hilton Honors members we can pick out our room location online. The best thing the hotel could is to fire everyone except housekeeping and janitorial staff. They are the only ones actually working and concerned about the guests.

This will start off sounding petty but it gets worse. The clerk stated that the owner told her that she was only allowed to give out one bottle of water, and only if the guest asks for it. Obviously, we asked. The room was not completely cleaned and there were long black hairs in the shower (I have short grey hair). When I came down for breakfast, I noticed that the clerk was texting or playing a game (lots of finger movement). The breakfast was so bad that we opted to leave and buy something elsewhere. After deciding to skip breakfast, I went back to the room for my bags and returned to checkout. Now the clerk was standing in the breakfast area, still busy on his phone. I had to alert him that I needed to checkout. I also asked if i could speak to a manager and he told me that he was the Assistant Manager. Then I asked for a way to contact the owner and I was told to call back later and speak to the General Manager. I, and my employees have stayed at this hotel when working in Fairmont but we will stay in Clarksburg in the future. Never again at this hotel.

The staff all were friendly and helpful. We spent 3 nights and were happy with our room. Beds were comfy and the AC wasnât loud and annoying like in some hotels. I want to make special mention of the young woman who maintained the breakfast area - she was very friendly and kept things stocked - I felt like she took pride in her work. We would stay here again!
