I was on a work trip and booked the Elvis suite for two nights based on the photos and the history. The King himself stayed in this room while on tour in the late 1950s. Unfortunately, the room was subpar. Definitely not worth twice the rate of a normal room. Major quibbles: The heat wasn't working on a cold January night. I fiddled with it and got it to turn on, and had to borrow a space heater from the front desk. I went to bed with cold sheets and a thin blanket. The bathroom was gross. I'm talking about black mold under the sink, chipped enamel in the tub and a wooden toilet seat that broke when I sat on it, scratching my leg in the process. Minor quibbles: The in-suite jetted tub looked like housekeeping had done their best, but wasn't going to get any cleaner. It was grungy on the bottom. I decided not to use it. The blinds went down but wouldn't go back up. After a somewhat restless night, I explained the situation to the helpful morning person at the front desk. I wanted to check out early and go stay elsewhere. She suggested I try an upgrade to the Wild Bill suite instead. I agreed and I'm glad I did! The Wild Bill suite was warm, well-appointed and in great condition. It was modern even with the retro theme. It was worth the price and felt like staying in an entirely different hotel. If I'd chosen that room in the first place, I wouldn't have much to say in a review.

This place is false advertisement to the T. The rooms look nothing like the pictures. My room had cracked walls, door gap big enough for bugs, paint mess ups, and the ceiling was cracked in so many places. I do not recommend this place, It does not give the cozy environment as shown in pictures. The price is not worth it.

This is a cute motel that has a ‘Mom and Pop’ feel. It was built in the 1930’s and was part of the iconic Route 66. It has been updated, our room was clean and the beds comfortable. Great location and didn’t hear any traffic noise. The front desk personnel were very friendly. The breakfast offered is basic motel food - eggs, sausage, cereals, pastries. They had a coffee machine which offered cappuccinos, etc. At first glance, it looked a little run down. But we were very pleasantly surprised at just how nice it is for a budget priced motel.
