This is one the filthiest hotels I have ever stayed in. The photos posted here on TA are nothing like the rooms we stayed in, or the exercise room we visited. Perhaps some rooms are renovated, be our group had six rooms that certainly weren't and hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in ages. Thick dust around the bed frames, under the bed, around the windows, and caked on the heating unit. (see attached photos!) And that heating/ac unit rattled so loudly we need to shut it off to sleep. Upon checking in, we were informed there is no daily housekeeping unless giving 24 hours notice. Surely, the rooms need a lot more attention.

I had a wonderful stay at the Cheshire! The nice boutique type hotel was located in a quiet part of town, and was very easy to find. I really liked the architecture of the building- it really gave it an old fashion, European feel. I liked the decor- the paintings of the dogs and the bear were pretty cool to see. The lobby had a real nice lounge/hang out type area. The hotel staff was great- they were very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure my staff was amazing. The room was great- very spacious, very clean and very cozy. The outside pool was huge! Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here at the Cheshire and can't wait to stay again!

The hotel is super cute and we were so excited to visit. However, the rooms were filthy and we had to cut our trip short. The room was so dirty- dust bunnies had bunnies under the bed, the random bits of food stuck in the bed frame between the mattress and frame, the clogged toilet upon arrival, old stuck tp on the floor, dirty bathtub and the threadbare sheets led us to leave early. Bed is super uncomfortable as well. When brought to the front desks attention, they did allow us to cancel one of our nights with no charge but no apologies or attempt was made to correct the situation. My advice-stay away.

I was looking forward to staying at the Cheshire after reading the positive reviews but ended up being disappointed after a two night stay. The place is charming and does give you a sense of being in the U.K. As you enter the underground garage you drive on the LEFT side. The problem arises when there are multiple cars trying to figure this out in a poorly lit garage with faded arrows on the floor. To make matters worse, since the paint is barely visible people take up two spots rather than one and that makes the parking situation even more sparse. Oh- and add on a Friday happy hour and BAM! There is no parking at all! The limited parking is shared by the Basso restaurant, the hotel, a Starbucks and the Fox and Hound Pub. For everyone except hotel guests, the parking is complimentary. As a hotel guest you are asked to pay $10. I inquired about this since it was challenging to find parking and the front desk told me to park across the busy street. I was like- why did I even pay for parking??? I am not sure if this parking fee is new but please be aware of this at the time of booking. You will be charged for parking (in a complementary lot) and then told to park across the street. Since there is a pub located in the lobby of the hotel, it will be noisy if you are located near the elevators. Like- really noisy past midnight. The best part of this hotel was the British charm it tries hard to exude and the complimentary breakfast. The fresh fruit and unlimited tea was wonderful. Instead of Numi brand tea I would recommend authentic British tea like FORTNUM and MASON. Now that would add an additional star to this rating if that were the case. Also offering an afternoon high tea service would be delightful. For those that want to get a taste of the UK, I would suggest staying here for just one night in order to enjoy the charm. The charm of this hotel wears off quickly.

When I arrived after 9 hrs on the road from Minneapolis on our yearly Winter migration to Florida with a full car we were greeted by Kean the Doorman who helped us unpack the car, found us a room on the first floor and got us situated in the room. Then the next day gave us instructions on how to navigate to the Art Museum and Zoo. My wife got sick so we had to stay an extra two days recovering. The breakfast was great and the Pub restaurant for dinner was charming with people to talk with and British Pub food was good ( my. wife was stuck in room recovering)and the staff took pains to pack her a dinner. Tough to get sick traveling but a great helpful Hotel. Kean also helped pack our car on leaving as I am 75 and not as adgile. Very helpful chap
