The Resort at Lake of the Ozarks

They did some cosmetic updates to a cheap motel and are trying to spin it as a “resort“. Do not expect resort quality accommodations. The business model is clearly investing in their restaurant and bar because that’s where they make their money.

For a lake side location, it had convenient amenities. We stayed in the regular king rooms. You could tell the rooms had recent paint and decor upgrades and were pretty clean. The doors allow a lot of noise so depending on what’s going on and how noisy the people around you are, it could be quiet or loud. Our only complaint was that the showers only had luke warm water but at least it wasn’t ice water.

Excellent resort that has recently been remodeled. Rooms were clean and provided with appropriate amenities. We stayed three nights and were well pleased. We had dinner one night at the Encore restaurant. The food was excellently prepared and service was outstanding. We will definitely return.

I have nothing bad to say about this resort. We stayed for one night mid-week on a road trip. Our room was part of a remodelled older motel. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the upgrades of the remodel were very nice. We spent the evening in the sky bar and had a great dinner and enjoyed the live music. The staff were lovely and helpful. The only suggestion I could give is to offer a larger range of pillow options. Other than that I had a great sleep and would stay here again. I am sure this is a hopping place in the busy season.

I stayed the weekend at this resort. The check in was easy and the staff were very nice. Our room was pretty updated and clean. Parking was right outside our room which was convenient. Bathroom was a little outdated but worked fine. Also air conditioner was a little noisy but we made due. Hotel also had free continental breakfast which was nice. Would stay here again.
