Comfort Inn Kearney Liberty

Not sure how this hotel is a Comfort Inn, because this hotel was lacking a lot of comforts. Should’ve taken the first hint that this hotel was not the place to stay when we came upon a big hole in the parking lot with a traffic cone in it. The bathroom fan was obnoxiously loud, so we did not use it. The tv remote had limited buttons to access what was on when and what channel. The sink did not have a drainage plug, so had to be extra careful not to lose anything down the drain! There were no electronic charging stations in the room. There were only 3 little pillows on a king sized bed. Coffee was not warm upon arrival at 6:30 pm. And no flavored creamers. The facial tissue bo was empty after using just 3 tissues.

The 1st thing I did when I walked in the room was get on my phone and find a new hotel for the night, but everyone was sold out. So we suffered through. The bad: beds were not changed from previous guests. Had stains and body hairs everywhere. Floors had not been vacuumed. We picked up a handful of dirt clods off the carpet. Toilet had not been cleaned. Pee stains all over the rim. Nothing had been wiped down (clock,refrigerator, etc) for months. The chair had so much dirt and filth we actually tipped it up and poured it off. All I can say is this is the nastiest hotel I have ever stayed at. However, I did not give them the opportunity to fix or correct anything. I’m sure they would have jumped right into action to make things right. If the one person running the place could pull herself off her phone. When we left, we passed a room being “cleaned” and the housekeeper was sitting in the chair in the room… on her phone. One of the other people in our party said their room was the same way. Unless you have no other option, STAY AWAY!! I can’t believe Comfort Inn even allows this place to remain. Worst experience ever at a hotel. Upon check in we (my two young daughters and I) were placed on the first floor right by the check in, breakfast, pool, etc so it was very loud. Fine, it’s a room and it’s busy and someone had to have it. The sink barely worked and required two hands to pull it on and the air conditioner fan didn’t work. Again, fine. Not a great room but we will be fine. However, at 10:30pm I went to the bathroom to find standing water on the ground and water pouring through the light fixture above. I tried to call the front desk and the phone didn’t work (no surprise at this point). I went to check in and explained the room was unsafe as water was coming through a light. The woman asked to see it. She then called someone and explained what was happening and then told me they had no other rooms but the room above us had flooded and she’d mop up our room and make sure the one above us was cleaned up and it should stop leaking soon (at this point the constant flow had turned to drips). It’s not their fault they were booked but the room had water running through electricity and they offered no help or solution other than wait for it to stop and no apology. I took two kids late at night and drove until we found something that was less likely to start on fire.

This was the filthiest hotel in which I’ve ever stayed. The first clue was the soap tray on the sink. Years of soap scum and who knows what else. Mirror had all kinds of gunk. Fridge was full of smudges and fingerprints. Electrical outlets had years of gunk in crevices. Remote was dirty. Tissue holder had years of dust accumulation underneath. Duvet covers were not only worn but also stained and with recent food accumulations. It was clear to us that the housekeepers only change the sheets and towels and do nothing else. EWWW! I asked for cleaning products to clean the room and they gave me a bottle of something and gloves and rags so I cleaned it myself! Also room coffee was horrible.

Well this was a turn for worse. Stayed here on the 23 in a nice room on the ground floor. Returned on the 27th to be put on the 3rd floor in a zhit room. If there were a few more stains on the carpet,it would be a new color. Stains in the ceiling, cracked sink,no fridge, dated and scrapped up furniture. A arm chair and ottoman were disgustingly filthy.
