It was okay, probably not coming back, but it worked for the 2 weeks that I was there. The location was very good. The garage is very small, but every day I managed to find a spot. Housekeeping did not work well, I was supposed to get housekeeping every other day, but they only came around maybe 3 times - after I had to continuously ask for it. I also got an incorrect number of bonvoy points/nights - i haven’t been able to get that fixed yet. There was also a lot of noise in my room from a family of birds who lived somewhere inside the wall/roof (i was in the end room on the top floor) Could I stay again - yes Would I, if I had another reasonable option - probably not

First class! Especially Valeria was incredible! Room was great and best Courtyard I’ve ever stayed in. Area was nice and convenient for my business trip to T-Mobile. 801 Chophouse was a great dining experience too right around the corner from the hotel.

Samuel the valet went above and beyond when I dropped my car off. I inadvertently left my phone in the console and didn’t realize it until I reached my room. After a minor panic attack wondering how I would get my phone when I needed said phone to text the valet for my car, Samuel was waiting for me in the lobby holding my phone. He saw it sitting in the console and knowing I’d be back waiting to park my car until I had my phone. It’s moments like that that can make or break your day. Samuel definitely saved my day. THANK YOU!

Booked an outside room because that was the only thing available. I am a platinum member, this is the worst Marriott experience I have encountered. Deadbolt lock didn’t work, old and antiquated room, ceiling material coming off. List too long to list.

So Kansas City, where I live, got hit by a wind storm that knocked out power in many areas for days. So I ended up in this hotel in my old neighborhood for a night. Luckily this hotel still had power! This is actually my second time staying at this location, even though I live in KC. It's the perfect place for a vacation or staycation, as it's right on the Country Club Plaza. Plenty of eateries, shops, parks, and museums to be had right in the city's premier entertainment district. The Plaza, and Midtown as a whole, is literally the heart of Kansas City. Westport, one of KC's oldest "watering hole" districts, is only a few blocks away as well. Though you should never walk between Westport and the Plaza at night! Consider that tip from a local. Back to the hotel itself. As I always expect of a Residence Inn and Marriott property in general, the room was clean, comfy, and inviting. Given that this is a "city hotel," the rooms are a little bit smaller than something out in the suburbs. My brother was staying with me, and even though we had 2 doubles, it still felt a little cramped. The free, full breakfast was very much appreciated. Since we're not tourists, we weren't looking to spend a whole lot of money. That helped keep things inexpensive. Same with the mini kitchen. We could heat up leftovers instead of having to go out for a meal again. It's a very quiet hotel. Sometimes it felt like we were the only people there. Well, aside from when seeing everyone at breakfast! The staff were very friendly and helpful (that's the Midwest for you!). They understood our situation and were sympathetic. If you have a car, there is a small parking garage, but do you have to pay. That said, this neighborhood always has plenty of street parking. I'd know since I used to live in this neighborhood. So if you don't want to pay, you can park in front of the hotel or around the corner. You won't have to park more than 1 or 2 blocks away. And this is pretty safe area to do that. I'd recommend the Residence Inn Kansas City Country Club Plaza to anyone. I'd gladly stay here again. Either for a staycation or because power got knocked out at home!
