Americas Best Value Inn Wiggins

There is no elevator, and they never resumed offering breakfast after the 2020 shutdowns. The place is well maintained, and the staff is very friendly and professional. The location is convenient to the coast.

We spent three nights here. When we arrived on a late August afternoon, the air conditioning was not on in the room. Not a good start! There is no elevator in this hotel. This made it hard to carry our luggage to our upstairs room. My wife has two knee replacements and a hip replacement, so stairs are very hard for her. If you have mobility issues at all, get a downstairs room. The person at the front desk looked like she had been run through the mill. She was friendly enough. For some reason, she told me she did not get up that day until 10 a.m. TMI! Once the room was cool, it was comfortable. On our next trip, we will stay elsewhere.

I checked in and went to get a bite to eat. I went to the room and It was totally discussing. The mirror was the first thing I noticed. It was so nasty I couldn’t even see myself in it. I pulled back the sheets and they were dirty and looked as though they had not been changed. The bathroom was gross.. it is pure laziness!! I stayed at this hotel years ago when it was a Best Western and it was really nice. I can’t believe they even rent these rooms. There isn’t enough money in Wiggins to pay me to stay at this dump!

We are local to the area. A problem happened with our water early one morning, so I rented a room here just for the day, so the family could get baths for work/school, brush teeth, etc. In just the few hours we were there, we must've seen at least 6-7 roaches. They were running up the walls in the room, running on the floor in the bathroom, we were scared to even sit our purses down anywhere, for fear of taking any home with us. I would never suggest anyone staying here, until things are updated and cleaned up.

we got into Wiggins on Friday 26th. the lady at the front desk didn't charge us for the 27th, we both told her again we wanted a two night stay.she fixed the problem and we went on our way, Well she obviously didn't mind charging my husbands card 2 more times after she corrected the first sheet to sign. we got a smoking room, the only one they had with a big bed, we wont be doing that again ANYWHERE. its now Wed. 31st and my husbands card is still short $162.00 and having trouble getting answers. I'll be calling corporate TODAY!
