Holiday Inn Express & Suites Starkville an IHG Hotel

This hotel is just off a main road which wasn't busy at night and therefore quiet. The lobby was clean and check in was efficient. The room was clean and everything worked fine. The mattress was one of the most comfortable I've found in a hotel - on the softer side which I prefer to the rock-hard ones at most hotels. I was only there for a quick business trip so didn't use the gym or amenities. Breakfast was standard HIE fare. Prices were high at all the area hotels but HIE was a little lower and a great value. Recommended.

We had a great experience here and would absolutely stay here again. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh, the room was clean and ready, and the staff was polite and helpful. The location is convenient to many restaurants and shops. No complaints!

We have been frequent guests at this hotel over the past couple of years and each time it just gets worse and worse. We stayed here this past weekend to move my son to State and the AC did not work. Called front desk said they would send someone up. Waited 45 minutes, called again and Bailey doesn’t greet us, just tells us someone is on the way and hangs up. They change the batteries and walk out. We had no AC in August in Mississippi! Front desk would not assist. Please train your staff on customer service and fix your hotel.

Took my money, sent a confirmation, and then wouldn't let me check in. Absolutely the worst experience in 35 years of being a road warrior. I will try to never use this chain again. I've been over-booked before but the hotel always called other hotels in the area and secured a room for me. Here, all I got was a number that played loud music and no one ever answered.

The hotel is very clean. I appears that the rooms have been remodeled recently, they are very modern looking, and comfortable. They have a spacious outdoor pool, and an adequate fitness room. There was lots of good food at the free breakfast. I recommend.
