Hampton Inn Oxford Conference Center

Despite the very surly staff at reception during my check-in, my room was large, bright and clean. Bathroom had everything I needed — I especially liked the way they had set up the towels etc in the little cabinet over the toilet! Location appears to be excellent, with lots of restaurants and even a gas station within walking distance. It looks as though they’re currently developing the area with new properties, both business and residential, and it has a nice comfortable, safe feeling to it.

We stayed at this hotel to visit friends/family and attend a football game. I have to tell you it was very quiet and comfortable. The hotel has a shuttle to the Square (Bars, Stores, Restaurants) and University. We used Ubers as we're impatient, but the shuttle service sounds pretty solid if you don't mind waiting 15-20min. With that said, Ubers are like $10 to and from the Square or University. So don't sweat the fact that this hotel isn't walkable to the University or Square if that is what you're in town for. Between driving yourself, Ubers, and the Shuttle you'll be able to get anywhere you need to. I picked this hotel because it had the best reviews, and it lived up to that. The staff were very friendly, room was clean when we arrived (they only clean every other day). The breakfast is your typical Hilton Family of Hotels Breakfast. It's was good enough. I will definitely stay here again!

This well-established Hampton Inn is currently undergoing an upgrade. It is pet-friendly. Front desk personnel were pleasant and welcoming. Our basic double-queen room (#301) was rather small. There was barely enough room to accommodate our above-average assortment of luggage. A distinct doggy odor was evident on entering the room. This is common to most, if not all, pet-friendly establishments. The room, indeed the entire facility, was impeccably clean. The bathroom was a bit small but the shower was good. A couple of minor bathroom problems were evident. First, the body gel shower container was completely empty and, second, part of the shower head fell off when attempting to adjust the spray pattern. The beds were comfortable. Despite much searching, we couldn’t find USB ports to charge our devices. We understand that such ports will be installed as part of the upgrade. A temporary solution might be to install portable USB wall-hubs which can be purchased for as little as $15 per unit. Breakfast was good and the seating area was large and well maintained. A slightly frustrating issue was that we couldn’t find the room closet. We thought it may be behind a large mirror but the mirror wouldn’t slide right or left, and wouldn’t budge when pulled forward from the right side. Next morning, staff informed us that it only opened when pulled from the left side - a rather unusual design. Perhaps management could place a small sign on the mirror indicating this fact. In summary, a good clean facility in need of a little better attention to detail.

The hotel is clean. Staff is helpful and very pleasant. There is hot and cold breakfast selections that are pretty good. There is something for everyone to pick from. Coffee is always available. It's a nice hotel and we had a nice stay. Would recommend.

Great hotel and overall experience. Off the highway enough that it is quiet and in walking distance to a few food and entertainment options. Rooms are clean and large with all the typical amenities available. Excellent free breakfast with friendly staff. Shuttle option and easy Uber ride from the square.
