Super 8 by Wyndham Meridian

Listen, the name Super 8 gives you suspect eyes but the room was cozy and clean!!!!!!!!Breakfast was the only downfall, but my kids enjoyed the waffles and yogurt. Staff was amazing and kind and always available. I will stay here every-time I plan to visit. If you missing breakfast, Cash Saver is right down the road and will get you right for $6.

The front desk people were nice, the air/heat, hot water, and fridge worked. That's the positive. We stayed from Thursday to Sunday, and no one cleaned our room even once, no towels were swapped out, nothing in the way of housekeeping, AT ALL. The front desk just gave me clean towels, and said that they were training new housekeepers, or just a generic "having trouble with housekeeping ", the couple of times I asked. They seemed shocked when I told them that our room was missed altogether, not just a miss on cleaning something. The location is near restaurants and by the interstate, so it has that going for it. There were construction materials outside, making it look like they are trying to update, as well, so I won't comment on the room, other than it was really dark, with few lighting options. The TV wouldn't leave the home screen, so it wasn't watchable. Overall, it could be decent, and if there were signs saying rooms wouldn't be cleaned daily, it would be different, but as it was, very disappointing stay.

Rooms are under renovation. They left the TV and alarm on in the room next to us that was under renovation. Very difficult to sleep through the noise. Also, in room internet was not available. Was not worth the almost $85 per night we paid. Note that room we were in was VERY dated, but appeared to have had recent renovations in the bathroom and was clean. Bathroom had a zero clearance shower, but water did not run to drain, but out into bathroom. Were going to stay at a better hotel, but they were all booked when we stopped and we had already been traveling for 9 hours.

Great value much better than expected for a Budget Wyndham Motel. Bed and pillows and TV and AC and bathroom and hot shower all looked and worked well... new or recent upgraded. Excellent. Good job. When my wife said it was good then it was good.

Lovely updated large room! My only complaints- the TV had only 25 channels, and could use MSNBC, and the breakfast is very minimal as well. But for me, having a fridge with a nice little freezer and microwave is key. Another plus is that the bathroom shower is accessible, though I don't need it. Great stay overall!
