Different size pillows although the beds aren't the greatest. Linens too heavy and you can't just remove a blanket or 2. It's a comforter so you may want to crank the air. Pleasantly surprised by view of sugar loaf. However, traffic noise is 24/7, so it's a tradeoff. The front desk check in girl was kind of surly and didn't explain the $39 charge except to say "Incidentals." They better hope it falls of sooner rather than later. There are no incidentals at this hotel. No room service, no calls, etc, etc. The pool could be warmer and the hot tub could be cooler. Kids everywhere, even in hot tub. Not following the "no ball throwing" rule in pool at all, and no one there to enforce it. Should have an adults only time after 8pm. Ran out of towels (or seemed to) but they were hung over chairs instead. People might think those are spoken for, though. They have a spa, dry sauna, kiddie pool & hot tub. 24/7 coffee, water & tea service. 1 of our room keys w/ envelope was missing after room cleaned and never recovered. Threw the deadbolt after that not wanting to endure a break in on our time away. Shower was weak but plenty of hot water. TV in bathroom. Liked the floor area in bath/entry way. Microwave & fridge worked well. Keurig coffee pot. We were given more upon request. Plenty of towels & TP in room. USB plugs don't work in room 428 nor does toilet flush properly. There's a lot of restaurants & shopping around this hotel, which increases the convenience. The black out curtain worked well as did AC. Toilet didn't flush right. No one at desk to check us out so we had to stuff our card in a box at desk. Never asked how things were except on the TV. Sheets were itchy & wouldn't stay tucked in. Don't like Dove products as they have harmful chemicals. Go back to watkins or anything else. Nice makeup mirror in bathroom that doubles as a night light. Remove built in fan from bathroom, it's annoying and unnecessary. Hotel was quiet except for road noise, which they aren't responsible for. Nice area in general. GPS will take you to sugar loaf. Make sure you turn by Kwik trip and turn right away into hotel lot. Breakfast was bland and nothing gluten free. Most of this food is not diabetic / carb friendly. Wouldn't recommend eating any of it long term. The fruit was past expiration and bruised. Hard boiled eggs rubbery. Breakfast & housekeeping staff could be seen working hard replenishing items and cleaning. The room was very clean, even though we didn't request housekeeping since only staying 2 nights. Nice benches outdoors. Plenty of free parking. Felt this hotel was overpriced for the money paid.

My daughter was staying at Winona State University for a camp hosted there and I was coming back from the Wisconsin Dells while waiting on her at camp. I actually had a reservation for another motel in Lacrosse that I made through Priceline's we choose deal and when I arrived at said motel, I refused to check-in and drove to Winona in hopes of finding a vacant room at a not so shady motel. This Holiday Inn was the first to pop up on my GPS, so I pulled in. I'm horrible about getting attendants names but after the experience I just had back in Lacrosse, this woman was absolutely amazing with her guest service, and I felt my anxiety level immediately drop from her hospitality. I haven't stayed in a Holiday Inn in quite some time, but I must say this room was mind blowing from the last time I stayed at one. It felt like I was at the Marriott, not the Holiday Inn. Beautifully decorated, amazingly large square footage, plenty of electric outlets and usb ports, large bathroom for 2 people to get ready in, and bonus on the first-floor room I stayed in, patio door to an outside seating area for the beautiful weather that day and evening (although I was told later they believed they were in a heatwave. I'm from Arkansas and it made me chuckle because I would take that "heatwave" any day of the year!). The indoor pool area was clean and with a kids splash pad area, swimming pool (deepest point was 4ft 9inches I believe), hot tub and a sauna. Family Friendly restrooms and a water fountain are also available in the pool area. I did use the hot tub the most, it was very large and at a great temperature for me. The bed made for a great night's sleep. There was complimentary breakfast in the lobby the next morning; the biscuits & sausage gravy are Southern approved. Since our child will be attending college there this fall, the chances of us being back are very likely. I'll be making my booking for late August very soon. Thank You for a wonderful night's stay.

Our stay was great. We arrived in the wee hours of the morning and were greeted by a cheerful desk agent. Check-in and check-out was seamless. Our room was just off the elevator on the third floor, but we heard no elevator or hall noise. The room was immaculate. It was not fancy, but looked as though it had been recently updated. Plenty of towels, very comfortable bed with nice bedding. We ended up in a room set up to accommodate disabled guests, and it was lovely and roomy. It so tastefully done we didnāt didnāt realize it was set up for disabled folks for two days. There were lots of amenities (pool, spa, free breakfast to name a few) but we didnāt use them. Would definitely stay here again.

This was my first post-pandemic return visit. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent re-do of the physical facility. Did I make use of the WiFi, breakfast buffet, gym, swimming pool, hot tub, local, regional and national newspapers, and self- service mini-sundry shop? Yes, and all were excellent. I'll be back.

My husband and I took a last minute road trip. We decided to stop and stay in Winona. This place is very clean and well kept. The staff were very friendly. The room (king suite) was well stocked with coffee, toiletries and towels. Extra pillows and blankets for the pull out couch which we didnāt use but it was nice to see that they keep the room stocked. Even a tv in the bathroom which was great while I was getting ready in the morning. We were on first floor and the patio door was right by our car so easy load up. Breakfast was awesome! No complaints and will definitely return.
