enVision Hotel St. Paul South

I’d read the 1-star reviews that we can relate to from our recent stay there. We would never stay here again. We got virtually no sleep from multiple issues. We booked this place based on the 5-star reviews. We should’ve looked at all of the complaints first. Worst hotel experience yet.

If you plan to sleep when you pay money to stay at a hotel, do yourself a favor and avoid this one. You will hear EVERY SINGLE truck, car, or motorcycle passing by what turns out to be a VERY BUSY street…ALL NIGHT LONG. Even if you sleep with earplugs in. If you plan to have a meal in the restaurant or swim in the pool that they advertise on their website, you can forget that, too. Both are closed and it looks like they’ve been closed for a very long time. If you’re disappointed that you can’t take a swim and decide to try to make do with a bath in your room instead, you can forget that as well. The tub stopper doesn’t work. If you made your reservations through the hotel’s website, you can forget about getting any help from them on any of these issues, as they will tell you to contact the third party vendor that handles their online bookings. If you contact those individuals, who apparently are in Mumbai, they’ll tell you to talk to the hotel…after you’ve waded through a Byzantine automated telephone system, of course.

The hotel does not spend any time on maintenance or making sure the outside is clean. Trash all over the parking lot, at the front entrance to the hotel, no where to put your dogs poop bag so people just leave it on the ground near the dog run and no one cleans it up. The pool and the surrounding area have been an issue for months. The only reason I didn't give a one star was because of the housekeeping and front desk staff were good.

Wow! Such a great value for the price and the pet fee, imo was reasonable at $25/night. My room was a single king room. Plenty of room for a dog crate and for me to stretch out. Even the cutest little reading nook in the corner. Industrial decor style really fits the bill. Front desk staff was terrific and the roo Was clean (spotless, actually) and you could see that management and owners take great pride in providing superb accommodation The small fenced courtyard was a welcome relief to my show dog, who had just spent 8 hours in the car with no place to exercise. I will stay here again for sure!!! (And happy to get a snack or two at a reasonable price as well. Sigh….nighty night!

The hotel was sub par. We didn't expect much because it was low budget and unfortunately a last min stay. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. Over 5 days our room was never serviced. We asked for clean towels and none were to be found for 2 days.
